Just watching Spurs v Watford, Deli Ali has just scored a screamer, we don't seem to have anyone capable of scoring that type of goal. Jose ought to address our poor shooting technique and insist that the very well remunerated players put extra time in to improving their very poor standard. Footballers at the very zenith of the game are paid ludicrous amounts of money because it's believed they can do things with a ball that is beyond us mere mortals, I've seen nothing from the playing staff at Utd to suggest it's beyond anything I could do.

The squad might not be lacking in talent, the trouble is getting them to display it every now and then. Sixth is where we are and sixth is where we'll finish, unless someone can tell me where the next outstanding team display is coming from, I've not seen one this year.

sorry georgie have to agree with jred and zidaniel here. Pogba is more than capable of producing those goals and has the ability. Jose isn't getting the best out of our creative players and it will take time. The finishing has been poor but again I trust him to sort this out in the summer.
When he gets the right players in the summer i think we will see the team coming together and we will challenge. the squad is talented, but the system is not getting the best out of them. I love zlatan but I've started to think that maybe we would be better off without him next year and bring in a more mobile striker who is willing to stretch the defence with runs behind. Now griezmann or lacazette would be great but i don't see either as a mourinho striker. Belotti/ lukaku fit that bill (not that i agree) . I can see griezmann coming but where he plays for the manager to decide.

I wish it was that simple, at the beginning of the season Utd splurged an awful amount of money and the improvement has seen us finish fifth just outside the champions league qualifying places on goal difference to probably finishing sixth this season. I am not hopeful of winning the Europa league and if the last three or four insipid displays are repeated we'll probably go out to Anderlecht.
Poor, very poor.

We are favourites to win the Europa league for a reason, put away form has been great for a while and I think we still have a chance of finishing top 4. It must be such a sad life being so negative about everything.

I agree Georgie it's not simple to throw money but you can see that the 4 players Jose brought in the summer have improved the side from last year. Pogba and miki haven't hit the heights they are capable of but they WILL improve next year.
Under lvg he threw money at average players who have now since gone. I trust Jose to spend whatever he has to this summer to get the right players in. Things may seem abit dire right now but he clearly has a plan and he knows this squad is capable and has talent.
I trust he will add to it accordingly and hopefully we will challenge next year. This still isn't his team and once he has properly put his stamp on it (18 months time) we can fully judge him.

I'm normally full of optimism but watching this team perform has turned me into a realist, we are poor, we are sixth for a reason and watching this team perform doesn't fill me full of confidence going into anything.

We all want to see home grown players make an impact and much as I would like to see Lingard make a success of his time at OT I can't see it happening. Giving Lingard a contract worth £100,000 per week is a big big mistake it just makes it more difficult to offload him to another club when he inevitably fails at Utd.

I try not to be negative but watching Utd just lately shouldn't put anyone in a positive mood. The teams we have struggled to score against just recently have gone on and been found out by other perceived lesser teams, Sunderland up next and whilst other teams have a goal fest against them I can see another game where we struggle to impose ourselves and either draw or scrape an ugly goal and defend for our lives after that.
