Roy Keane has gone too far .
Always be a respected player and leader for the team I love but ultimately what he has been saying of late is totally unnecessary. if you truly have uniteds interests at heart you should know that going in that hard on a manager that's only had half a season and won a trophy already is ridiculous. Clearly he just doesn't like Jose . Totally unprofessional and a bit of a **** move .

I found his comments funny actually, a man who for lack of better words got kicked out of the club for moaning about his team mates in a tv interview, the man who walked out/ kicked out of his country's world cup campaign because he again pitched a fit to the media because he did not get training the way he wanted it for the team. Now the same guy moans about other guy moaning about fixture list. No irony there i suppose.

Roy Keane is one of the best if not the best captain/ midfielder I have ever seen.

He is also a massive arse hole.

{Ed025's Note - spot on deano mate..

Cracking player and a legend, however I find him quite bitter these days, a guy that not grown with the times and still stuck in the olden days, the only United player I didn't enjoy reading his autobiography.

You're classed as a scallywag now if you speak the truth. i love when he is on tv cause you know your going to get an honest assessment, not like a lot of other pundits who can't be seen to be honest on tv, political correctness bull.

Jose must understand that this time of year the fixture list gets a bit bigger if your left in a few cup competitions. after all he was at a few big clubs in Europe.
So stop moaning about it and get on with it, is he trying to deflect from the fact we are in 6th, now I don't want Jose out or anything like that hope he stays for 5 years and wins trophies. Now special one cop on and stop moaning.

He isn't honest leahy he is just a miserable sod for the sake of it.
I think we confuse being a good footballer with being a good person and I personally think the two are exclusive Keane could start an argument in an empty room the blokes soap box must be made out of stone for the amount of use it gets.

Dean he is an honest man, and if he is working in football whether player or pundit he gives 100%, straight out no waffling no social media waffle or anything like that, just good honest work, he may ruffle a few feathers along the way, I don't know if you are old enough to remember him playing for United but if you do you will know he was a born winner.

Now outside of football you couldn't meet a nicer bloke, very funny dry humour, I've met him a few times, a sound bloke if you approach him properly,
He gives a lot to charity I know of one children's hospital in ireland he looks after and he doesn't go around talking about it or looking for praise either, and he also works with guide dogs for the blind.

If I had my way there would be a statue of him in cork airport that day you are now entering Roy Keane country.

Dean, I sort of agree with you but having read his books I started to understand him a little more. He is both a complex and simple individual, I'm not sure he was every comfortable being famous and yet he was the captain of the the biggest team in the country for many years. I'm not sure why he feels the need to be so "refreshingly honest" all the time.

18 Mar 2017 07:33:08
I've never met him so I can only go with what I see of him on television and that is the fact he rarely has a good word for anyone .
I have read the Keane book but years ago I may re read it.

God, I thought he was just being honest.

I find myself agreeing with most of what he says.

His character aside. I think he is a cracking pundit because he says it how he sees it.

Great Captain, club legend but a nutcase.

It's a mark of how elite the club is seen my ex players.

Look at the ex Utd pundits - digging out the team, constructive criticism in some cases but always judged against their own high standards.

Look at the ex Liverpool pundits (exc Jamie Carragher) seem to blindly defend the team and make excuses.

I like Keano, Scholes, Nevilles reminding everyone about what it means to be at Man Utd.

Also Fergie would be going nuts about the current fixtures.
