{Ed025's Note - the effort was there certainly simon, pity about the tactics by jose though which were very defensive, when herrera went off he waved the white flag for me by taking off miki and replacing him with the waste of space wig head, once chelsea scored that was the end of that and i know its hard but united then had to score, except for the rashford effort they showed very little and pogba was poor again when it was time for him to show some quality mate..

Ed025. It was the most ridiculous sending off. Until then, the match had been close. Ref ruined the game.
{Ed025's Note - your wrong schmidfield, it was a stupid challenge when on a yellow card and the sending off was correct, united were doing fine up until then which makes the challenge by herrera even more pathetic, but how the hell jose thought fellaini for miki was a good move is beyond me mate, he and pogba offered very little and united went out with a whimper mate..very sad..

Yes I agree ed025 it was early to take Miki off, it's all if and buts but for me the team played well some great individual performances, maybe we could have thrown caution to the wind but playing Chelsea with 10 men for most of the game 1-0 seems a result.
{Ed025's Note - 1-0 in a cup tie is certainly a result simon...a poor one mate as united are out!..

Playing Chelsea the inform side top of the league with 10 men could have been a whole lot worse ed025, we didn't embarrass ourselves this time. The refs decision turned the game IMO herrera didn't help himself but some composure from Oliver would have given us a cracking game.
{Ed025's Note - it was good up until the sending off simon, but that was not the refs fault mate..it was all herrera im afraid..

Your not wrong schmid just a matter of opinion's mate herrera gave the ref the option and he took the sending off option, a bit rash IMO.

Agreed Simon. We seem to be on the wrong end of decisions a lot against Chelsea. I can think of around 5 but won't bore anyone with them. Atkinson was involved with a lot.
People are accusing mourinho of being defensive. With three of our strikers not available and a 19yr old striker playing up front, what exactly was he supposed to do?
We've got to move on though, so bring on Thursday, no doubt all the press and the intelligcia that is Lineker and shearer will want us to lose as there unbiased views come straight from the wrong end of their bodies.
One thing United will never do is lie down and die, we shall get over this and already looking forward to Chelsea visit to OT. I'm officially a Spurs fan till the end of season. It will be funny if they lost out on the league and I'm betting on Spurs beating them in the cup.

Ha ha schmid, I definitely agree on shearer you can see it on his face he can't wait to nock us.
Iv been to a few games this season and can't believe the footage shown on match of the day, the timewasting in the Bournmouth game was insane the ref stopping the game constantly nothing mentioned on MOTD it's very biased IMO.
