Hope he stays for a long time.
I kind of understand what Beast has said about Mata but when we need a goal he often delivers for us.
He seems to have the character of Ferguson era player.

The guy oozes class both on and off the pitch.
He may not be strong or quick but his technical ability and his brain are on a whole different level to any English player. He seems to work harder now than he did during his time at Chelsea, he's never going to be a Kante type player and he shouldn't try to be.
The fact that he has scored and assisted more goals than any other player in the EPL since he moved to England tells you how good a player he is.
Einstein once said if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree then the fish will spend its entire life thinking it is stupid.
There is no one in the EPL who does what Mata does better than him. let's appreciate what he does rather than bemoaning what he can't do.

Quality post shappy. Mata is a class both on and off the field. He has really immersed himself in to Manchester and looks like he is really enjoying his football again. His stats speak for itself and I hope we keep him because today it's a squad game and he offers us the vision and guile that nobody else in our squad does. Fingers crossed we are in the champions league next year and he will be perfect for those sort of games. Class act.
