I appreciate we all have varying opinions on players, that's what makes it interesting.
but,
Selling Mata. just not going to happen and for one reason, he is a crucial part of the United squad and going forward is essential to our trophy challenges! IMO of course.

Stand - I like the guy, but I think he has one good game in every 5. It is like playing with 10 men most games he plays because like Goldilocks the situation has to be just right for him to perform. It's a key position he plays in and there are literally 25+ players I'd pick ahead of him. You shouldn't be able to say that about a Utd player. He has the talent to be a starter for a lot of good teams, but he doesn't suit a team playing to the style I like to see as he is just too slow and weak.
I'd rather Rashford, Martial, Valencia, out there, then if we sign another wide player it pushes Mata further back when Miki is fit. We would still get good money for him and I like him, which is why I wouldn't let him rot on the bench. I appreciate i'm in the minority.

Interesting that everyone has gone for a full back, centre mid, centre back and forward.
Kroos is a great shout but is he available, personally I like Verrati but don't see that happening.
What Bakayoko like?
Greizmann looks bailed on and I think 2018 onwards a three of Martial, Rashford and Greizmann will be amazing.
Do we need a Right Back this summer? Tony has been solid all year, still frustrating if you see him live but solid. But left back seems so weak that's why I would love to see Alaba.
On sales funny to see how many agree on Smalling. I find him so poor and if you go to the game you notice that he is always flat footed and slow to react. Rooney looks gone. but Mata come on the guy is a amazing!

Hope you have a swift recovery, make sure people bring you in a few takeaways, hospital food isn't the greatest. Lol.
I would go for:
Manolas as our CB signing, the guy is a beast yet cultured. And is a leader in defence. So ticks all the boxes.
Sidibe for full back, the guy is capable of playing both RB and LB. That means he can cover for Shaw until he either recovers his form or it becomes clear he won't make it. He is also a great long term replacement for Valencia.
Carvalho as Carrick's replacement, a different sort of holding player. Was tempted to go for Bakayoko but I think he would be looking for a move to either Spain or PSG in a few years. Although I wouldn't be gutted if we signed him. Lol.
Bruma would be my last pick. That might seem a little bit left field but I'll explain. A lot of people have gone for Griezmann or another striker. Personally I don't think we need another striker this summer unless Zlatan leaves. I have high hopes for Rashford and Martial so signing another player who will push them further down the pecking order doesn't seem a good idea to me. We also have loads of players who like to play in the No.10 position such as Rooney, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Lingard and even Pogba at times. So a player like Griezmann who wants to play off the striker doesn't feature highly on what we need. What I think we really lack is a true wide player with pace. The only wide options we have are players playing out of position with only Martial, Rashford and Mkhitaryan the only one's with pace. I think a young quick dynamic player like Bruma would give us far more options tactically while not demanding a first team place every week.
As for who would I sell
Darmian, not really settled and has never looked comfortable.
Smalling, not a good defender. Certainly not for a team going for titles. He has proven he doesn't do well when he dips in and out of the team and he isn't good enough to be first choice. Plus with Bailly and a new CB coming in I think a CB has to leave, for me based on this season Smalling is behind Rojo and Jones.
Schweinsteiger, just not the player he was.
Young, has reached the end of his time with us, should be playing every week for a team a little further down the league.
Other players who have a question mark over their long term futures but I think should maybe have a stay of execution are Jones, Rojo, Carrick, Fellaini and Rooney. But I feel all of them have something to give us next season.

Haha Utd Road. It's difficult to rant at the minute, things seem to be in an upward trajectory. Hope everything goes well with you. Maybe Maze will pop on and get things going. My only gripe is the tempo to our play, don't know why we can't do what we did first half against Watford more often.
