Can anybody help with luke shaws situation at the moment?
I know it was spoken about some time back and it was discussed that because of injuries and some other issues he had to work to regain fitness etc but his recent omissions from the team and the squad are quite concerning considering he was bought for a lot of money to be our first choice LB.

The only thing I can say is that Luke is working well. I don't have any problem and he's working well. He's fighting hard, there is no problem with him, "

Not sure pal. He's only been with us a few months so I didn't calculate the time he was out but for me it was very feasible as he was coming from a different league and was a Jose signing.
I'm sure it's like what jose says anyway and he will be flying in a few months and there'll be no more worries. I just wanna see him do well and not lose out on such a talent.

Angel I think the situation is clear. He is fit and available just not being selected. Once he proves his fitness and gets his chance it will be up to him to take it. He is down the pecking order at the moment but I'm sure he will get a chance and when he does its up to him to play better than blind / darmian/ rojo. If he does do better he will keep his place.
Jose said Rashford is doing well in training and learning more about tactics and positioning every week. I assume shaw is doing the same so when he gets his chance he will be ready. Lots of ability but has lots to learn Jose has obviously identified that same as he did with miki. If shaw comes out a better player then it will be down to him and the manager combined.
There are so many games coming up I expect him to play his part sooner rather than later I hope he grasps the opportunity with both hands.
It may be even next season before he nails down that spot as his own. I hope he has the patience and shows the desire and believes in himself enough to do that.
Maybe that's what Jose is waiting to see. Who knows.

He is still only 21, coming back from an awful injury and don't forget coming back from 8 weeks out injured .
Also there are other players who don't deserve to be dropped .
Dont forget the media allready had the knives out looking for a jose and shaw story, look at some off the stick he has got on this site even .
Shaw will need a few games to get back to match sharpness but the moment he has a bad/ average game the media, some fans will be right on his back .
Jose has taken him out the spot light like he has with others and i'm sure will bring him back at the right time.

I think he's almost certain to start against Blackburn, and maybe St. Ettiene if we put 3-4 goals past them in the home game.

Sorry jred I didn't see anyone giving shaw stick at all. Maybe im completely wrong there but I think people on here are more concerned. Do you think posters want him to fail or something? From what I have seen and read people are perplexed about the situation and wonder what's really going on.
Some of the Eds gave some great insight and that's all we really have to go at the moment. Sounded much more than the fact he had an injury and is only 21. Age is a nothing excuse for me.

There where plenty given out stick, should of seen the abuse martial got the other week on the live chat (he wasnt even playing ) .
And before xmas shaw was getting plenty to .
Of course age is a factor, your no where near the finished article at 21, the lad like a lot of 21 year olds still has a lot to learn .
But imo he will develop in to a top player.

He did it with mhiki an martial and they responded. He did it with Morgan and Memphis and they didn't.

Well if that's the case they ain't fans at all.
I know he's only 21 and never said he'd be finished article but 21 you should have head down and be working socks off, don't give anyone any excuses. that's what I did anyway.

I think Shaw will be gone as he's not good enough tactically or mentally. His first touch is not good either. I don't think Jose rates him and there are plenty out there who are far superior.
