Nothing like a good win and Jose coming out to praise Martial. He deserves it and that should hopefully increase his confidence and relationship with Jose. All did well although I felt Ibra could have done better. Ibra will not be here forever but good if him to show Rash and Martial how he can still hold the ball with his physical strength and set up teammates with his knowledge and experience. For what it's worth Ibra did ok. But the rest of team played like a team and it was nice to see and get excited again.
We have a very slim chance at title but a reasonable chance with CL qualification. I like our chance with 4 competitions and will be awesome if we can get good results in at least 2 of them. My wish would be CL qualification and another cup.
Chatroom was awesome last night and great Beast is a "little" positive for once. 😂.

Title has long gone, we haven't lost since October and still haven't made any ground on the leaders. With everyone bar us and of course city, having on paper a comfortable game next week we will have to play fantastically well just to keep in touch. Top four will still be a great achievement if we can, especially with a cup win.

Haven't made any ground up? We're 2 points off 2nd place.

Partdingle, Not sure if you've seen but we've made up a lot of ground through Dec and January. Only 2 points off 2nd.

Partdingle,

There are some glass half empty posts on here at times but that is one of the greatest I've seen. Way to twist the facts to suit an agenda to a post.

Arsenal, us and city don't have a league game for 3 weeks, Spurs play stoke and Liverpool are away at Leicester in 2 weeks time, a side fighting for their lives, I really don't think they are easy games.

We had a bit of a tough January and the performances weren't great but the last 2 games we have seen us have spells that have been very impressive and it could be a good time to have hit some form.

We are in a decent positions now despite still being 6th but the way we are playing it is a matter of time before we get into that top 4 and in current form it will be difficult for any team to knock us back out once we are in there.

Good post gds
There are plenty of reasons to be positive and cautiously optimistic.
Give win for Liverpool yesterday. They only have city and arsenal to play from the top 6 so on parietal have the best run in although it seldom works like that.
I think we will be in to 4 soon enough but we need to keep momentum and build a little cushion as 2 of our last 3 games are away to sours and away to arsenal so a really tough finish. I reckon we need to be 4 points clear of those 2 before the last 3 games which will give us a little comfort.
Every game between now and then is a must win game. The disruption of the Europa league starts again this week we face 5 games in 15 days including a cup final. Winning that final could well provide the inspiration needed between now and end of may.

Try googling the Premier League table from 2 months ago. We were between 5 and 8 points behind, we are now 1 or 2 points behind 3 teams. We just need to keep doing what we are doing, hopefully pick up a cup shortly, and then nudge a couple above us out of the way. Chelsea look unstoppable and yesterday aside Spurs have looked good. Liverpool and Arsenal are wobbling big time right now.

I haven't given up on the title, still a lot of footy to play.

Their is no agenda gds2. We just have a different idea of what leaders are. For me they're the team in front (do you come from the era when everyone is winner? ) and it was a response to someone saying we are still in with a chance of the title. Have said we still have a very good chance of top four but our 'next league game' is City and every else has mid/ low table without that win we're potentially 5 points off top 4 hence big game a head, some of which would appear need boiling. Congrats to the mighty Clarets, but we are still 12 points off Chelsea.

Has the city game been confirmed?

Or next league game is Bournemouth.

I am with Jred on the league title. its a funny old game. Chelsea at the moment seem very comfortable but a couple of injuries, an unexpected loss and a draw suddenly bring everyone into it.

The game at OT against them in April might look a lot more pivotal for both sides than just us as people currently think. If I was a betting man I would say we will be closer to them in points than currently when they come to OT.

I also think Liverpool will have a run of good results as they are now playing one game a week and their fixture list looks quite good comparative to others. I think Spurs might struggle as will Arsenal in the run in.
