I know we've not been at our best the last few games but I don't understand the 'top 4 is gone' mentality, how exactly? 15 games left and a win tomorrow sees us go 2pts off champs league places, even if we don't win tomorrow why are we giving up we've got to play everyone above us yet bar Liverpool, well in our capabilities.

Gds2 we have to win these games. its simple really. if we don't we will not get top 4.its not good enough if manchester united lose these type of games.

Evening 25 - you must be a happy bunny today. Lukaku is a beast when he's on form and up for it. Await Match of the Day fever on here.
Lukaku is just what we need. So much better than anything we have etc etc.

I like him Ed - not sure why so many people don't. Maybe not the best technically but he's ideal for this league physically and can score. Just needs to be a bit more consistent me thinks.
{Ed025's Note - i think that with better players around him he would score even more betty, someone will make a massive offer in the summer and he will be off which is bad news for us mate..

I also rate Lukaku. There is some argument to say he doesn't score against the big teams. But that could also be said for a younger Ibra. I remember the younger Ibra and how much he flopped in the bigger games. Lukaku has pace, he is comfortable out wide, knows Jose, is very physical, and is quite premier league proven. I'd rather have him over Griezmann, for all Ibra has done this season, it'd be best for both parties if we didn't give him an extension.
Ibra won't be a squad player and we may not be able to afford giving him too much gametime. Rashford will regress more if he doesn't play for W seasons now.

A lot to like about lukaku, big quick strong good in the air and can put the ball in the back of the net.
Like all players a couple of things he could improve, could to better with his back to goal imo but the lads only 23, he gives a great dynamic to the attack .
Looks like a Jose type c. f. imo which maybe martial and rashford aren't .
But if he keeps playing and scoring like he is, at the age he is there will be a lot of cash coming evertons way.

Win tomorrow? Just in case it's escaped memory, we score an average of just over a game, so why all this optimsm of us winning? If Leicester score, which they will, then we'll have to score a minimum of 2 to win. Still confident we'll win?

You are really dragging me down mate, is this you not being negative just for the sake of being negative?
Do you really see no positives from this season so far? The meltdown from a 1-1 home draw is astounding to me, I was extremely disappointed after the game on Wednesday but have a look at the table, things are looking ok.

Gds. It's not the hull result which of course was 0-0, but the whole set up and attitude doesn't seem right. Very slow build up, very predictable. It's definitely an improvement on last few years, but let's face it, that's not saying much.
Isn't it time we turned out and grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck, fought for every ball and attacked with intent?
Surely you can see why so many of us are frustrated. We are not the finished article, we do need two full backs, a creative attacker and another defensive midfielder. But our squad is by no means bad. They just need to turn up and start playing for the shirt.
The saga with Martial has been dragging on for ages, when in fact, he's exactly what we need at the moment. The manager needs to sort him out pretty quickly otherwise our season will come to nothing.

It's slightly odd as we seem e to have found form and were playing well. We looked hungry and energetic but in the last few games there is a lethargy for all to see. If we can pick up the pace and be dynamic from the start I think we will have no problem.
