Depay looks like being sold to Lyon. I was one of the people who kept saying to give him a chance. However, when you see someone with his talent more interested in going on social media, dressing with the expensive clothes and driving flash cars instead of knuckling down and trying to force himself into the starting 11, then all respect disappears out of the window. This guy has earned an enormous amount of money over the past two years and achieved very little. He has ripped us off. So goodbye Depay and good riddance and hope his career continues on a downward spiral.

SchMidfield mate if you keep talking like that you'll be mistaken for a scouser. Why so bitter?

He's a talented lad who for reasons unknown by us failed to achieve his potential. Maybe the move was too soon for him, maybe he wasn't given a fair crack at it.

I wish him the best and hope his time at our club has acted as a wake up call and he uses it to knuckle down concentrate on his football and reaches his potential. I don't get why people need to be so nasty about a player who is leaving our club.

I could understand it more if it was top player like Ronaldo leaving for more money and a better life style turning his back on the club that helped make him the global superstar he is today. But all you ever hear is wishful posts about wanting him back.

Ultimately your bitterness only works against you. So I say let it go and wish them well.

He wasn't ready for a big move, and just couldn't do it for us. Since we have a buy back clause, I hope he gets his career back on track and starts to fulfill his potential.

You could say he never got a chance but you might say he never gave himself a chance. Too much too young. I wish him well there are no players that leave that I don't wish well. Some players just underperformed some just couldn't cope with life at United.

A bit immature, and maybe head clouded with the money earned. He isn't the first and won't be the last. Even the best players sometimes struggle in different countries. I don't see the point in wish him bad luck. I'm glad we've sold him as he hasn't been good enough, but I hope he fulfills his obvious potential and goes on to have a good career

I hope we buy him back in 2 years as the sensation I thought and hoped he'd be I wish te kid noting but the best .

Thanks shappy. This guy moved to a big club, a great club. 99.9% of players will give anything to be in his place. Yet, his attitude was non existent. He's got his priorities all wrong. If you think anything else, you're mistaken.
Don't understand the fear of people to criticize these days. I'm not bitter Shappy as luckily I don't need to be. But I am annoyed that someone with obvious talent hasn't got the brain to know what an opportunity he'd been given.

I think we rushed into buying him when we did for fear of losing out to another club. i'm sure united would have liked him to have another year or so with his previous club before buying him, but probably thought another club would swoop.

You have to take a chance, some work some don't. You live and learn. It's not the end of the world.

There's criticism, and then there's hoping a guy's career goes to pot. A guy, who until very recently, was a United player. Why would you say something like that?

Best to him. Clever to have the buy back clause. Who says that in another season or two he corrects himself and starts to fulfil his potential because he has plenty of it!
