With mourinho confirming Ibra will start tomorrow, who would prefer rashford to start up top. I think the opportunity for rashford to gain some game time and (hopefully) a goal would do him no end of good plus keeping a 35yr old Ibra fresher for Liverpool.

It's a cup semi. start ibra, take him off about 60 mins gone or even after 1st half depending on how it's going. Try and kill this tie in the first leg.
Rashford will have plenty of gametime in the 2nd half of the season.

I'm not Rooney's biggest fan, but it would be nice if the goal that makes him our outright all time leading goalscorer was a winner against Liverpool. That would be sweet.

Its a risky decision. It would be his dream to go one better than the great Bobby Charlton against Liverpool but its a risk to start him or even play him at all as we have better options and we NEED to win this game.
I hope he gets his goal against Liverpool but the win outweighs any individual achievements.

jose will pick what he feels is the best team to win the game .
a lot will depend if jose trys to take the game to liverpool or control possesion .
last game was 0.0 which was no surprise as jose sets up not to lose these games .
fellaini and young started the last liverpool game.
the scouse are good on the break and clever 1 and 2 touch game in the last 3rd .
i could see us setting up compact with maybe mata or rooney starting to help control possesion and tempo .

no idea pal, i wouldn't be that surprised if 1 of rooney or mata started .
then again i wouldn't be that surprised if neither start .
jose will definitely have one eye on liverpool when he picks the team tho .
will he go at them with pace?
or look for a bit of control . rash from the start or coming of the bench .
jose tends to set up not to loose these games so its hard to tell

IF Rooney wans't on to beat Bobby C's record and was nowhere near it, would anybody put Rooney to start or play at all on Sunday?
I for one would probably not play him unless we need a fresh legs substiution late on in the game (or if we are winning 4-0)
