So do we believe Jose Mourinho is happy with his defensive options and doesn't want to bring in a defender or is it a tactic to hurry Benfica along.
Bailly has gone for 3 weeks we all know smalling and jones can pick up the odd injury.
If Jose Mourinho doesn't bring at least one in it could be risky.
I was confident in Fonte and Lindelof but could now just the one

January is a tricky time to buy, clubs are reluctant to sell. As such you can never be certain of getting your targets.
As such Mourinho won't want to undermine the confidence of his current options as they may be his only options for the rest of the season.

I'd believe Eds sharkopod. He feels lindelof is all but done and fonte could happen.
I wouldn't buy a player just to cover one gone to afcon either but with Jones injury record and I'm still not a massive fan of rojo I feel we re still short of a quality CB.
That being said if he doesn't sign anybody I am still very happy with the squad until we get to the summer transfer window where I believe more changes will be made.

There's always Fosu-Mensah and Tuanzebe to rely on I do think Lindelof is a serious target and if not this window it will be next
