morgan having a medical at everton .

i think he played 20 minutes this season why do people think that is .

Agree2 Disagree1

06 Jan 2017 12:51:44
Mixed feelings to be honest- I remember reading on the saturday morning Spurs had beaten us to him. I was gutted. hours later we signed Bastian, sunday morning Morgan is all but tied up at Spurs . then Sunday night he was having a medical with us I was delighted thought he was just what we needed - Sorry to see it didn't work out without sounding arrogant maybe it was to big a step up for him - great energy, decent tackler and a very underated long range passer of the ball and yet showed none of it for us . Not all his fault of course. didn't match up to Herrera who has come on leaps and bounds, yet couldn't get ahead of Fellani

Good luck to him.

Jose said he would only play players he felt that were 100% committed to the cause. I'm only speculating that Jose felt Morgan wasn't much like Depay.

Or maybe he simply didn't feel he fit into his plans.

06 Jan 2017 13:12:21
100% committed like shaw ;) .
its a bit strange always seemed a good pro etc but hasn't really been given a chance under jose .
its not like he has played but been poor, he hasn't even made the bench .
bit odd imo

06 Jan 2017 13:15:00
Both Van Gaal and Jose have questioned Shaw. It's not a coincidence;) But maybe jred knows more haha

06 Jan 2017 13:18:15
Good player just not suited for a big club, most likely doesn't have the right mentality. I think he will be a good sig5for a mid table club.

06 Jan 2017 13:29:55
angle
lvg questioned shaw when he was 18 years olds, so your going to hold that against him for the rest if his life.
praised him the following pre season but let's forget that .

right off at 21 . hope he proves you wrong

06 Jan 2017 13:33:09
common
what do you think is wrong with his mentality,

06 Jan 2017 13:36:39
I actually agree with you jred on Shaw, but be careful or everyone will believe Shaw is your new crush. Rooney will be heart broken. Lol.

06 Jan 2017 13:37:20
Sometimes your gave does just not fit with the manager.
I personally would prefer morgan over fellaini as a player but Jose sees it differently and he knows what be wants.
I think he will do well for Everton. If we get our money back and reinvest it wisely them it makes sense for all parties.
Lvg hardly played herrera is an example in reverse. But Jose prefers him to who lvg was playing in midfield.
Each coach knows what he wants from his team and who fits those places in order to achieve what he wants. Jose doesn't see that in morgan obviously no real mystery just a coach with a different opinion.

{Ed025's Note - very wise words ken..

06 Jan 2017 13:43:14
As for Schneiderlin I just think he didn't fit the managers plans. Mourinho stated when he first took over he wanted specialist for specialist positions.

Schneiderlin is a bit of a hydrid or a throw back even. He is very good at many things while not being a master at any one thing. He is a good tackler who can cover a lot of ground, he's decent when he gets forward. But he isn't really either an attacking midfielder or a true defensive midfielder. I think he could do a good role in our current set up but only as the replacement for Herrera. But Herrera has been so good that he isn't getting a look in.

Its a shame, I wish him the best and we will move on. Reminds me a bit of Veron's time at the club, arrived to much fan fare (although Veron was clearly a far more talent player), but never quite fitted into the managers system and left with a feeling of unfullfilment.

{Ed025's Note - that sounds like my sex life shappy.. :)

06 Jan 2017 13:48:05
ken
i agree with that i'm just surprised he never even got a chane just 11 minutes all season .
defo best for him to move on .

i like your post tho hope people can rember that when jose picks the likes of fellaini and co .

shaps
rooney shaw fellaini tony v martial rash . a man united fan backing his players, its crazy but it might just work .
prob from the 70s 80s, had to look after your own back then

06 Jan 2017 13:51:07
its pure conjecture jred, i think schniederlin is one of the types who are decent at a small organisation but can't adjust at a big one, his Southampton play clearly shows he has ability yet 2 managers in a row don't trust him enough to start to him and unlike say depay who clearly turned out to be a dud, neither lvg nor mourinho have played him enough to even call him a flop.

06 Jan 2017 13:53:53
What is it you always say jred "in Jose we trust" he must be privy to something we are not he doesn't fancy him at all so hopefully the lad can move on and play football best of luck to him and Everton is a good club with a good manager so hopefully he gets back to the player we signed in the 1st place.

06 Jan 2017 13:54:19
In 18 months has Morgan had a good game for us, he hasn't shown anything he is meant to be good at and was good at with Southampton, at a club like united there are always going to be better players who will get chances if you don't take your own, in my opinion Morgan failed to take his chances and needs to go back down a level to further his career. Good luck to him but I won't miss him in the slightest.

06 Jan 2017 13:56:04
Ed025, that's nearly every mans sex life, arrives with much fan fare but leaves people feeling unfullfilled. Lol. Not me though, total stud. They made a film about my sex life, you might have heard of it. Its called American pie. Lol

{Ed025's Note - i was thinking more..."batteries not included" mate.. :)

06 Jan 2017 14:05:00
ooh matron

{Ed025's Note - love it james..

06 Jan 2017 14:12:16
dean in jose we trust .
just interested in peoples opinions on this .
read a lot of post in the summer that fellaini jones rojo would be sold, not many that morgan would be the odd one out .
interested why people think he couldn't even make the bench

06 Jan 2017 14:22:56
Jred, when have I ever wrote off shaw?

I merely said there's something amiss and his attitude has been questioned by both LVG and jose and because of the way mourinho has singled him out I fear the worst and he might be sold. But I really hope that is not the case because he could be excellent.

Jred, you always seem to interpret posts how you want to instead of what has actually been said.

LVG criticised him at 18, Jose at 21.

In Jose we trust yes?

06 Jan 2017 14:29:28
angle
in jose we trust and he picks shaw when fit .
and imo will get the best out of him .
you said he has a attitude problem and will be sold in the summer.
i think he is a young kid learning and just coming back from an horrific injury and will be at the club for good while yet .
lets just wait and see, i hope he proves u wrong

06 Jan 2017 14:39:37
Every manager has questioned Shaw's mentality and commitment. Could they all be wrong? Lvg, Jose, Roy Hodgson?

06 Jan 2017 14:50:53
I never said he an attitude problem. Others did though.

06 Jan 2017 14:51:08
sch
and yet united spent 33 mill on him and they will have known all about him . chelsea and jose wanted him and again will of known all about him.
when fit players for england plays for united .
dedicated enough to be playing for england and united at 18 .

young lad learning the ropes .

06 Jan 2017 15:03:12
angle i'm always impressed when people can tell that from there arm chair .

06 Jan 2017 15:07:51
angle
what was it that jose said about shaw?

06 Jan 2017 15:17:05
Lets hope for your sake jred that shaw and rooney aren't sold in the summer lol

06 Jan 2017 15:27:36
angle
whys that?

06 Jan 2017 15:53:58
Come on jred you tell us enough from your armchair too. We all have opinions and can only give them from our armchair.
From your armchair you defend your opinions and give them. It's what we all so on the site except for those who are actually itk from time to time.

06 Jan 2017 16:05:18
ken
on how a player plays on the pitch .
but bad attitude bad diet slagging off the character of a player of the pitch is not my style .

no idea what happens on the trainning ground etc . don't believe all the headlines i read and never pretended to be itk

06 Jan 2017 16:12:22
you can say shaw isn't playing well from watching him and that could be for a number of reason .
but some people seem. to go on and on about his bad attitude how he is lazy etc. i think that's hard to know from your armchair .

someone like shaw isn't really in the headlines, not out clubbing etc .
young lad getting back from an awful injury .

06 Jan 2017 17:24:06
Shame. Thought he was very good at Soton, and a very good signing for us. I've no doubt, with a good run of games, he'll prove his worth again.

06 Jan 2017 14:50:26
I really hope he doesn't prove me wrong. I think he will be a fantastic LB.

But for whatever reason, LVG or Jose haven't been too happy with him. Therefore Jose might sell him because of that.

But you can continue to interpret things how you wish. Comprehension might be difficult for you.

06 Jan 2017 17:35:45
angel
whys that

06 Jan 2017 18:28:26
Shaw is the new rooney 😂

07 Jan 2017 08:29:43
Never seen Morgan have a good game for us. He's always off the pace (lack of match practice I assume) and his passing is just not good enough to be a top drawer player. Reminds me of Mark Noble at West Ham. Decent, but never top class.

07 Jan 2017 10:04:26
had herrera had a reaally good game before this season?
took his chance this year tho
