Hi guys thought I'd ask for everyone's opinion
If there was one player who wasn't a big name in the prem that you could take. Who would it be?
Personally I feel we missed out when we didn't get moussa dembele. Like carrick I don't feel he gets the credit he deserves. The way he gets players off the ball and drives forward and starts attacks. Really feel he would add so much more to our team.

Agree6 Disagree0

Payet, for me would be great entertainment if you don't consider him a "big name". He reminds me a bit of Di Canio, another that even more so could have been great at United. I think SAF has gone on record as saying that he regrets not signing Di Canio. He would have been another slight nutter a bit like Cantona. We always have room and can handle them at United.

Agree on Dembele, I was gutted when we didn't sign him from Fulham.

Another would be Seamus Coleman. Had we signed him 4 years ago we'd never have had the RB problems we've seen in recent years and we'd still be sorted for a few years yet.

{Ed025's Note - my problem with coleman wazza is that he is such a miserable sod mate...he wouldn,t smile if he seen a chair walk.. :)

06 Jan 2017 11:54:18
I thought mahrez before the start of the season. I think he is an incredible player but it would be a close call with Payet. 2 fantastic players.

06 Jan 2017 12:11:09
Ed - money obviously doesn't buy happiness. Good player though and better than anyone we've had at right back since GNev.

06 Jan 2017 12:57:07
Not sure about you Wazza, but I think we have the best RB in the league right now in Valencia.

06 Jan 2017 13:13:49
angle
i agree and how many would of said that about tony in the summer

06 Jan 2017 13:20:13
Ed i don't think most people will smile if they suddenly see a chair walk, most will freak out.

{Ed025's Note - i would freak out more if i seen seamus smile CSM.. :)

06 Jan 2017 13:40:28
Love tony but don't think he is quite the best rb in the league. Bellerin Coleman walker trippier are all marginally better imo. But that said Valencia is doing really well and I don't see him as a weak link by Any stretch of the imagination.

06 Jan 2017 13:50:45
Dembele is one, Winston Reid is another, Kante and Mahrez last season would have been great shouts. Mane is one I feel we missed out on, although with the way Mkhitaryan has been playing the last couple of weeks I'm feeling less aggreived. Lol.

06 Jan 2017 14:04:15
Coleman is a really good right back imo. Imo not too many players smile enough.
Yorke and Ronaldinho were the kings at smiling on the pitch. Pity there are not more like them

{Ed025's Note - im with you there ken mate..

06 Jan 2017 13:54:57
I would like kyle Walker very underrated imo

06 Jan 2017 14:06:33
coleman is the best right back in the league ken.

{Ed025's Note - hes mustard.. :)

06 Jan 2017 14:19:55
coleman was the best imo not sure he is any more

06 Jan 2017 14:42:21
who's better jred?

06 Jan 2017 14:53:38
walker bellerin and tony v.
coleman has been good but struggled a bit last season and hasn't been great this year either imo .

06 Jan 2017 14:58:33
I'm with you james. Bellerin is also high quality although I think Coleman is better at defending and Coleman scores plenty.
Walker is not a great defender very strong going forward. I like his understudy at spurs a lot trippier (spelling) ex burnley. I'd sign him or Coleman in a heartbeat.
I'd swap Coleman for depay without hesitation.

06 Jan 2017 15:02:09
Getting back to the original q in the op I would sign trippier spurs right back or coleman and I would sign Robertson hull left back they would offer great compitition to Valencia and hopefully shaw

06 Jan 2017 15:12:03
If i had to choose, as an unbiased opinion i would have TonyV over Coleman!

06 Jan 2017 15:23:02
walker and valencia? really jred? coleman had a few injuries at the start of the season but he is coming right back onto his game now he's also the most attacking full back in the country by a mile.

06 Jan 2017 15:30:57
walker is the most attacking right back imo .
lot of the family are everton fans got a few links there and i'm not sure coleman has been that good to be honest . the whole defensive unit to be honest

i think tony v has been excellent by the way

06 Jan 2017 15:40:42
celtic told robertson he was too small as a kid ken can you believe it? we also had coleman over from donegal numerous times too as a youngster but hummed and hawed offering the boy a deal and everton stepped in and signed him, what a fullback pairing that would've been, though in saying that we've got kieran tierney who arsenal are sniffing about watch out for that boy ken.

06 Jan 2017 16:29:58
as long as the guy who plays right back for united does the business jred that's the main thing, just now its valencia he's doing ok but i don't think he's the answer long term though, i don't know about you but i'd love to see a midfield playmaker brought in and another striker to partner zlatan.

07 Jan 2017 10:53:13
James,

I think Toni has been our best player this season, consistent and not made 1 mistake, I would say that's more than 'doing ok'.
