Did anyone see Modric play today?
He's phenomenal.
He has to be the best midfielder on the planet.
He made some great interceptions for a creative playmaker.
I did find Kovacic's performance to be good too.
But apart from that, how do you feel about signing someone like fabregas, drinkwater or mikel for our midfield.
It seems Morgan is going to leave, Fellaini should go as well.
Left with schweni, pogba and herrera and carrick.
I love drinkwater, as I think he's supremely underrated and under a good manager with better players around, he could be a Carrick like player for us. And more importantly he knows our club and the PL. Leicester are having a hard time as well. I think most former Utd players would love to comeback and play again as at somepoint they must've dreamt that.
I do not like the idea of buying foreigners. As I feel drinkwater would need very less adjusting and he will get the ground running.
I feel Schweni and Carrick will get injured and we'll be left with a hole with fellaini and morgan covering who aren't quality.
If drinkwater is unavailable, I would be okay with Mikel as a squad player, as he has abundance of experience and comes cheap and is a Jose player and he's good defensively. I do not see many problems with that. I do feel the likes of TFM would come through and a quickfix would not hurt. He's still very good.
And fabregas, I think there aren't better passers of the ball than him, I wish he was better defensively and covered well. If that could be added to his game, then I think he can do the carrick role ever so well.
If cazorla can do it, why not fabregas?
We need experience in that position, and not Paredes who will need half a season to get the ground running.

Guys its been good being on this site but i feel i like i have to take a break from it.
Have you seriously just suggested we should sign john obi mikel lol.
Hes the type of player that still gives me hope that I could still have a premier league career.

We had a few bad ones, bebe, kleberson, and djemba djemba so goid they named him twice, bought in as roy keanes replacement.

One of the players I really wished we'd got. Smashing wee player. Don't know if we were ever seriously in for him, but he would have instantly improved any midfield.
