Have to say despite yet another draw yesterday, I still don't feel half as fed up as I did last season. I think the quality of football has definatly improved, in enjoying watching the games tenfold on last season to be honest. We're only 12 games into the league and I think we need some perspective here in what we expect this season. Jose needs time like anyone else, see Klopp last season. They finished 7th and are flying this year. We are creating a lot of chances, just not putting them away. I'd take that over creating one or two at most like the last few seasons. If we had Aguero up top, we would have won each of those 4 draws and been 2 points off the top. It really is only a matter of time before we click, start finding out shooting boots and go on a run imo. I think we should be optimistic, things are looking up. That's my thoughts anyway.

did we not click thursday.

28 Nov 2016 16:20:30
Yes then he tried to be too clever and changed the winning team.

28 Nov 2016 16:45:59
Eric,

If he had picked the same team and we had drawn yesterday you would be saying he should have rested players as they have played 2 games in 3 days, we should have won yesterday, mkhi hit the post when he came on, who's to say mata wouldn't have scored that a chance.

My feelings are just frustration that we aren't higher than we are, the opposition (Liverpool) fans coming on here mouthing off just prove they are still scared of us and are so desperate for us to fail, it's hilarious.

I agree 100% with your post stand and from speaking to mates (yes I have mates) everyone feels very similar to you and me. Miles better, just needs to click soon.

But that's the problem though. If he didn't change the team and we got the same result then people would have slated him for not freshing up the team and how can players be expected to perform twice in 3 days.

He's kind of damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

did miki and rooney not do enough on thursday to start sunday?

28 Nov 2016 17:22:40
They sure did Jred and the manager was playing willy tease with Miki in the press conference as well saying he deserves to start etc. I know Rashford didn't deserve to start, nor did Lingard if compared with Miki on Thursday.

It's easy to say he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't, but the option he chose led to us not beating a weak West Ham. Wouldn't be an issue if we put them away, but we didn't - so yet again the manager made the wrong call. Just like against Arsenal when he subbed an attacking player for a defensive one, allowing Arsenal more freedom/ confidence to attack. Of course there are other factors, but the stand out ones are what he is judged on.

He keeps getting these calls wrong and people keep blaming luck, but most of us wouldn't have made the same decisions he has been making (like the two above), so if I were the owners I'd be wondering what £10m+ a year gets you from a "manager". He needs to start getting these calls right quickly, otherwise you would be better off having one of us make the big calls!

carrick was injured .
rooney should of started imo.
miki was good thursday but looks light weight .
carrick is our best cm.

I thought both did enough to retain their place jred. I was surprised they didn't tbh.

28 Nov 2016 17:57:46
Agree with all Was surprised Mikki and Roo didn't start. That I feel was a wrong call imho. Hopefully Jose shed some light on that.
Can only look forward to what his setup will be mid week.

GDS it's simple we need to build some momentum so start the same winning team then introduce the likes of depay etc they need to get some time and confidence week after week it's destroying players confidence the way he is treating them, then when we do need them they aren't ready.

{Ed025's Note - weight of expectation is killing them for me eric, one misplaced pass and the groans are deafening, they are scared to try the outlandish flicks or that killer pass because its seen as detrimental to the all important keep possession ethos, the united flowing entertaining easy on the eye football has been replaced with..dont lose the ball whatever you do outlook, and the players look terrified rather than enjoying the game mate, well thats how i see it anyway..

28 Nov 2016 19:58:49
This worst start to the season business is interesting. We only had 1 more point at this stage In 92/ 9393 and we know what happened than. Sometimes it's fine lines.

29 Nov 2016 17:43:18
Ed025 isn't that the hangover from LVG?

{Ed025's Note - vert possibly eric but jose has done nothing to change things mate, i would like to see the players enjoying the privilege of playing for united and playing with confidence and style, what i see is a bunch of rabbits in the headlights who look terrified to err in case it cost them their place, and thats not the united way..
