Just did a quick check, Jose's last 38 league games he got 58 points. (roughly, it's late here) . Good enough for 9th place based on last seasons table, and that includes a comfortable end to his title winning season, which bumped up his figures.
But last season before he was axed 16 games 15 points. This season 13 games 20 points. Progress at least, haha.
So 29 games 35 points since the start of last season. I can't find a league table after 29 games, but my guess is that would be typically good enough for 8th/ 9th.
If he doesn't get a few wins in by then end of the Xmas period I can see some serious problems for him sticking around, especially as he doesn't like Manchester and his petulance is not exactly benefiting the club.
After Everton and Spurs we have 4 easy games over Xmas. If he doesn't win at least 2 of the next 6, I think he is a gonner.

Wouldn't worry about that, I think we will 4 or 5 of the next 6 and Jose will be here for a while.

If there was another managerial change as the beast keeps pushing for then we will be in far deeper trouble. Players have responsibility and that is where we should look.
Our fans are spoilt and some comment like it, spoilt by years of success. It is not an automatic right and has to be earned. Those like the beast who never seem satisfied forget that this manager was presented with 6 years of poor choices, poor buys by SAF in his last 3 years and then appointing 2 wrong managers. It needs an overhaul in the mental approach of the club as well as the playing staff and it will take time. I don't think we are getting fairness from referees who didn't dare go against us when SAF was around. Yet that will change as will our luck in front of goal.
I was fervently against Moyes because from the start it was obviously a terrible choice, his cv did not stand up and he, like SAF and LVG have created a perfect storm to put us where we are. Some don't like Jose, I don't know him so can't say, yet his cv speaks for itself and having seen the mayhem of the early 70's at first hand I know that now is the moment to give him time or it will be 25 years before we challenge again. History showed us what not to do, how the Busby transition was a mess and we let it happen again. Now is the time to stop listening to overblown pundits, 99 percent anti United, stirring the pot and spouting garbage, the same garbage about each new manager until there is a change.

Red Man, you say fans are spoilt. What's more spoilt than sulking because you don't like the manager, refusing to support him before a ball is kicked, and refusing to go and watch your team play until he goes?
I'm not getting into a rerun of old arguments. You're entitled to your views. But please leave off the lectures in how to support our football team.

Check the cv or the difference in cv's
Then note that I did not support the appointment of Moyes for that reason but despite misgivings supported LVG then Jose. Some on here have done it with Moyes, LVG and Jose.
