got to the game last night first time this season, allways good to see the bigger picture .
carrick off the ball very good, he was great last night same with jones and blind .
pogba a bit lazy to be honest, his first thought is to look for ibra, but if the balls not in his area he is just watching .
ibra plays as an out and out target man very static .
lots of runs in behind from rooney mata and miki but 9 times out of 10 the pass forward never comes .
miki played well but pushed of the ball very easy still may have a long way to go in the EPL might be next year we see the best of him . Bit like pires at arsenal.
a lot of talk pogba needs carrick to play well from last night i would say united need carrick to play well.

Good stuff jred. Makes me angry I missed watching the game especially when Mikki was playing and seems he played well. Looking forward to watching him play.

Couldn't agree more, i think replacing carrick should be the most important transfer activity in jan along with getting a cb to replace bailly.

Ander has to play for me, Carrick did well, but it wasn't a tricky game and he will struggle playing twice a week.
We don't need a holding midfielder in 90% of games, so it's more of a case of upgrading the central role rather than deep sitting role for me, Veratti is the answer imo.

I think the combination has to be either Carrick/ Pogba or Herrera/ Pogba depending on who we are playing either a faster team or slowly building up team. Carrick and Herrera have different but can complement Pogba. With Mikki he adds to the setup and can interchange.
I still feel Memphis can do well but time is not on his side and Si is Martial. Waste that Martial exploded to the scene but has been a shadow since. Rash is solid but needs to build up so he can be stronger and not pushed around.
I still feel we need to solidify our defense although Jones is starting to play better. Hope Jose can inspire Jones to become a great defender. If Carrick is gone I feel Blund can take over role but best if we can find somebody that good and with pace. Up front we have good options so I'm not worried really.
We should then be reasonably set up for a good strong first XI and start to look for good benchers to but a strong backup team.

Verratti looks bound for madrid or barca, only way we can come into the discussion is if we manage to get cl and add more wc talent along side verratti to get him to consider us but sadly i don't see it happening as much as i like verratti he ain't coming to utd beast.
{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid has no interest in Verratti and Barcelona has no space for him in midfield. PSG expect him to leave at the end of the Season.}
