Our team may not be but in terms of moaning fans we are top of the league. Last season the result didn't matter as long as we played attractive football. The same people are moaning when we draw after playing some good powerful football.

The anti United press and there is a lot, are trying to drive a wedge between manager club and fans. Constant critique of Jose's facial expressions, where he lives and no credit is given for anything. A weekly crisis is discussed and the opposition fans in droves ring the phone ins to add weight to the drivel in the hope that Jose will fail, yesterday's man they cry. The Champion manager only 18 months ago.

Some of the comments after yesterday's game from those calling themselves United fans were frankly embarrassing. Maybe people are sucked into the social media rhetoric but get a grip people. Five years of the wrong direction from the very top and manager is not going to change in 11 games. The club deserves criticism for allowing SAF to have total control and continue with the methods used since 1986, expecting it all just to continue and failing to plan a proper transition. As the Ed alluded to and I said this for a long time on here, the club has effectively taken its eye off the ball, arrogantly expecting its position to be unchallenged. Who on Earth in the club thought the last two managers were right, who controlled the player transfer dealings. The team had gone soft, expectations lowered by the club's direction and appointment of two inadequate managers that did deserve questioning. Putting some steel back into the club and the team will take time.

Away from here I hear United fans who outwardly say they want Jose to fail, they don't like him, that and then some of the utter nonsense I read on here just plays into the next phone in, fodder for the next so called expert pundit being paid for their opinion.

This manager is appropriate for our club, in its present situation, unlike the last two and no amount of drivel on social media should be allowed to distract him. He has the cv and from what I can see is starting to have a positive impact. No one is, nor should be unsackable, however the nonsense I read and hear daily about Jose is pathetic.

The club have allowed 1969 on to repeat itself and the only difference is now we have appointed a top manager and more recently spent money. Pray he gets it right or you will have something to moan at.

so support the manager, as long as you rate him, if not slag him off as much as you want .

i think that's the way it seems to work .
it was open season for moyes for example .

we haven't got fergy anymore so we are just another club like all the rest .

enjoy it boys, its what's supporting a club is all about.

Best post I've seen in a long time red man. Agree with all of the above. This will be Jose's biggest every job after the rubbish that lvg and moyes have left us in the past 3 years. It will take time, and will be painful, but Jose will sort it out and get us challenging again.

We are a club in crisis, everything is unravelling, we are 9 points off the top of the table!

I wonder how the teams above will fair through the Xmas and winter periods. We have a deep squad and have every chance to catch back some points. Chelsea were behind us not too long ago, 6 clean sheet wins and they have gone top.

Agree completely Red Man, give JM time and support to put things right.

Interesting post red man. You rightly say that mourinho is the man to solve purchase football problems. And of course it is early days and I'm sure he'll get it sorted.
But at the same time, you agree with Ed who said the club is run badly from a footballing side. And that's what a lot of us are upset about. The club had years to plan for fergie's retirement then came Moyes and lvg. It is utterly pathetic.
Just because some crtisize it doesn't mean they wish I'll on the club or manager. It means they care about the club and want it to succeed.
So please let's not get on our high horse and crtisize the fans for not accepting our present plight.
The fact is that we are Manchester United and we have spent enormous amounts of money in the past 4 years and yet we're one point ahead of Watford and same points tally as Everton. If you're satisfied with that then that's your choice but for others it is not acceptable.
Mourinho has to be given time and the results will change. But the manager can only do so much and is up to some so called professionals playing for us to stop talking the talk and actually start walking the walk. I think mourinho has identified this problem and he's dealing with it.
It will come good in the end but some of the players have to be shown the door as they don't have the mentality to play for United.

Does anyone actually believe Jose pays the slightest bit of attention to what gets said on social media? Seriously? One of the most successful managers of recent times, feeling undermined by some eejit typing from his bedroom? Purrrrlllease.

Club in crisis? More like fans in crisis.
