How lucky is Conté?
Takes over a happy, united squad, with players of real character and substance throughout the team, who always stand up when the going gets tough, and always give their manager 100%.
No new players to have to assimilate into the squad, and plenty of Premiership managerial experience under his belt.
How could he not succeed?

Werent there rumours of conte leaving chelsea a couple of weeks ago.

When the Chelsea squad want to play they are great to watch and have some squad, quite a bit better than ours (it was mainly Jose who put it together) however it does seem to be up to the players whether they turn up or not, not the manager.

Individually, I'd take Hazard in a heartbeat. Costa instead of Zlatan probably, Azpiliqueta, and maybe one of their centre halves. I wouldn't agree the players are quite a bit better than ours. As a team, though, they're everything we're not. This season at least.

I made a point similar to partdingle yesterday. When the players want to play, Chelsea are a very good side, most of them Champions only just over a year ago, I think Stevie forgets that. It's when the players decide they don't like what the manager is doing that the problems occur, like last season they downed tools. They have had quite a few managers, yet it has actually worked quite well. Our problems are more difficult because the team strength in individual players was not there this summer and will take time to resolve. We were not Champions last year and have endured years of underinvestment, poor investment and mismanagement with poor choices as manager.

They don't have a better squad, just better management. Conte seems like a brilliant guy. People were laughing when he bought Alonso and David Luiz. He knew exactly what he wanted. He's adapted to the players' strengths, bringing out the best in them including Moses. He's built a completely different attitude and mentality and they're playing really good. Kudos to him.
