after the same amount of games moyes had a better record than jose and jose has the better squad .

people need to chill and stop making excusses, we will be there or there about this season .
we have a top manager and a top squad .

Agree7 Disagree7

04 Nov 2016 18:10:42
2 sort of contradictory statements.

04 Nov 2016 18:20:28
will spin out his in jose we trust line in a bit aswell probably, he's just swimming.

04 Nov 2016 18:39:58
We also qualified from our CL group under Moyes!

04 Nov 2016 19:06:15
welsh
i do pal, top manager imo people need to calm down .

04 Nov 2016 19:26:42
Chelsea fans were saying the same last season, and he was a Legend to them - but eventually they pulled the plug. I'm worried because this isn't a freak, it's a pattern. He needs to correct the trajectory sharpish in my view. People need to be very concerned, because no matter who we sign, or who we pick to play, we get the same type of performance.

Chelsea ran out of patience mid-December, just think of the credit he accrued with them - all I see is a grumpy out of touch bloke at the minute, hardly endearing himself to the fans!

beast
im sick of the excusses (i posted about chelsea down thr page ) but i'm a jose fan and i think we will be fine .
we have a very good squad we should be there or there abouts for thr title .
i 100% think a top manager would push for the league with this squad and i think jose will.

pep has never managed in the epl but he has them playing great, sterling and co are top of there game .

jose needs to step up and get this very good squad of players playing well. that's what good managers do . i'm not a fan of conte but like pep he has come in to a new league and got his players playing well.

we are behind watford and there new manager
everton and there new manager and let we have by far better squads .

i honestly think jose will sort it out, every team goes through a blip and this is ours but just like any manager at any top club he needs to get results .
moyes never made top 4 got sacked
lvg never made top 4 got sacked
thats the way it is, that's what top clubs expect .

04 Nov 2016 19:55:24
Jred, so what your saying is if we finish outside top four Mourinho should be sacked?

04 Nov 2016 20:07:32
im not saying he should be but every time a manager has finished out side the top 4 since the glazers have taken over he has been sacked .
wenger never been outside top 4 longest serving manager .

i don't like it but that how it is these days .
not just at united either .

lvg finished 5th with this squad, jose has added pogba ibra bailly miki for mega money, i think the owners will look for a return on there investment and improvement.

04 Nov 2016 20:08:42
I think he should shappy, if you can't finish in the top 4 with that level of investment then you should be sacked.

I personally think the united job is one of the easier ones in the premiership with the low level of ambition we have.

04 Nov 2016 20:18:01
shaps
if sterling, ageuro and co where struggling for form and city where 8th in the table the same people making excusses for jose would be ripping pep.

im a jose fan, wanted him at the club for years i think he will get it right and a top manager would do very well with this squad .

get ibra mata rash martial herrera pogba schinderlin miki (i could go on ) playing well, playing like they have in the past and at the level they can and this is a very good team

is that not a managers job? get the best out of his players, find a formation that works .

im not swimming but we are a top team with top players and its a rezult business .

in jose we trust . i think he will show a few on here how good he and this squad is.

04 Nov 2016 20:18:43
or get sacked .
pressed send to early.

04 Nov 2016 20:31:33
In JOSE we trust!

Lmfao.

Joses a top manager just like jred said and top. post that jred.

He will get it right, we are a team that has gone through a lot in recent years. We have a near new team. compare to what fergie had.

It will not be until mid december that we see our team gel and we will make top 4.

To be fair i tipped us for the title but i think it will be next year that we will fully challenge for the title unless we buy couple of quality players in jan to give us that little boost.

Our main problem is confidence and lack of scoring goals. If our players increase their confidence by 50 prrcent and score a lot more goals then we will look much better.

05 Nov 2016 07:30:51
All, I feel we have the right manager.
At this moment he is probably trying to get the team's passion and pace up. He has tried to start with Pogba as the one who JM will build his team around. I foresee we will need a couple of Windows to be back to really challenge the title. At this moment we have an objective which may not be realistic but it is an aim (the title) . More importantly it is to get back to CL (financial obj) .
We will start clearing players who have neither passion nor fit in the new team. I believe this is the transition and JM is held down by doing drastic things as he has done before, afterall we are a club with "traditions" and JM has to adapt. Hence he is probably having internal conflict and frustration. I believe this is why if you look at him he is not really the Jose we know (arrogant and merciless) .
I hated him when he was @ Chelsea but feel there must be a strong reason for the club to engage him. I believe SAF and B Charlton would have discuss with him the long term rebuilding plans and his attitude.
All these said, I feel the players need to be f***ed for their lack of passion and commitments (nobody to be excused) . The manager is one thing but the players are the ones executing the strategy. I still can't get myself to blame the manager as what I see is players not really having passion and urgencies. So be it Ibra, Pogba or even DDG, all have 1/ 11 share in the game/ s.
Hence until the day/ s I see there is continual passion from the team, only then will I start to blame the manager/ club for any negatives. Afterall the players are highly paid to perform but if they don't they still get paid highly. So they should earn their keeps. I rest my case.

05 Nov 2016 09:47:21
Yeah Jose is pulling up trees at the moment lol.

05 Nov 2016 10:54:03
I've got to ask those defending Mourinho but what makes you logically think he can turn it around? From what I see he's a very good manager when things are going his way but when they start to go pear shaped he seems unable to turn it around. Case in point the way he left Chelsea twice and how he left Real Madrid. So why the confidence that he can turn it around when history suggests he can't?

05 Nov 2016 11:14:58
turn round what? he has been manager for 10 league games.

05 Nov 2016 11:48:39
Well you said.
"jose needs to step up and get this very good squad of players playing well. that's what good managers do"

And.
"im a jose fan, wanted him at the club for years i think he will get it right and a top manager would do very well with this squad"

Which suggests at the moment he's getting it wrong. So to get it right he's going to have to turn that around.

05 Nov 2016 14:16:45
bledd
fair point but we are only 10 games into the season i think it will work and will judge at the end of the season .

05 Nov 2016 14:24:29
But that's what I'm asking mate? Why do you think it will work and on what evidence?

05 Nov 2016 14:38:00
bledd
we have good players and a good manager .
as simple as that pal.
there not playing well at the moment and like I've said above i'm not going to make stupid excusses for them but there is to much quality for us not to improve .
i think 10 games is far to early to judge or start to panic, if we are still playing like this in april then we have a problem .

if we are still playing like this in april jose will prob get the sack.

05 Nov 2016 20:13:43
It's was always going to take time. I see the deficiencies and share the frustration but I'm not panicking yet every team in the league will hit a rough patch sooner or later mighty pep has had his pace setters spurs are going through one now we know what happens to arsenal around January I won't even talk about Liverpool.
But remember the big picture. No matter how bad it gets we won't have a 26 or 12 year drought.
