Well, not much defending that performance, red card Luiz for sure but we wasn't good enough and judging by Jose demeanour he is hurt by the players today. I'm not overly concerned I think pundits and fans alike had us down for champions but in reality top 4 and some time for Jose to build his team and mentality is what's needed this season. Not impressed with the laughing and shirt swapping, a slap in the face to fans, especially the tremendous support from the away crowd yesterday but we go again, City next who are equally as fragile atm and then 3 winnable league games starting with Burnley, keep the faith.

WRD i agree luiz should have been sent off. Arguably most would have subbed fellaini by then and we wouldn't have been talking about it. Also herrera got away with a very similar challenge on joe allen. Not that your moaning but its swings and roundabouts. Instead of swapping shirts they could have acknowledged the fans did any player actually give them a clap?

WRD, I think you're being too kind. Our play was terrible but the reaction of the players after the game was appalling.

Zlatan did nothing on the pitch and was laughing on his way off. The world's most expensive player was anonymous and DDG seemed happy just to be chest bumping his Spanish colleagues after the match.

They were second best on the pitch with perhaps the exception of Herrera who looked like the only one who seemed interested and was trying to make something happen. No movement, no passion and no one trying to take responsibility (watching Fellaini afraid to try a forward pass was awful) .

After being thumped 4-0 and played off the pitch, those players should have been ashamed and crying in the dressing room. How can they find it funny after they just let down every single Utd fan around the world while making total idiots of themselves in front of millions on TV?

As for Jose, what did he think he was doing with Conte? There was just no need and it showed a lack of class.

If top class players just aren't bothered about getting hammered while playing for MANCHESTER UNITED, then I don't really know where we go from here.

No as I say the players let themselves down, I think Jose needs to get back to his ruthless best. He won't put up with the reaction of united players after the game I'm sure.

It's odd, but the only one to show a appropriately pissed off reaction was the manager, but of course he had to do so in his usual dickish way. Still, at least he showed some heart.

So what should Jose do? How should he react to his supposedly top players not putting in the effort during the game and finding something to laugh about after being stuffed 4-0?
