Think tomorrow will be another tough game and once again were written off by the majority of pundits. I personally think we'll get another draw, which wouldn't be the end of the world. Ideally with Liverpool winning and city will imp, we could do with 3 points, but a draw wouldn't be a shocking result. I don't think we can afford to lose. I trust Jose will set us up similar to the way we played at Anfield, and if he gets a results fair play, I have no problems. Some people actually said we were embarrassing against Liverpool, i couldn't disagree more and think Jose got it spot on. I wonder how the Inter fans felt about using similar tactics when willing the CL final? If Brendan Rodgers was as tactically astute as Jose the dippers would have a PL title by now. There's a time and a place for such tactics and away at Liverpool or Cheslea are as good a place as ever. I'd rather be disaplined and compact and get a point or 3, than play brilliant expansive football and get beat.

how about playing expansive football and winning?
best squad in the league imo .
but that's not the jose way .
i think we have a bettèr 11 than chelsea or the scouse.

and we will be higher than them come may but it won't always be pretty.

im a big jose fan but i can understand why people didn't want him.

JRed that's the obvious aim, anyone would want that. But it's unrealistic to think we can, after changing manager for a 3rd time in 4 years, and endless new players just go out there and smash everyone. We tried and failed against city. I think until he finds his strongest first 11 which imo he doesn't know yet, then trying to stay compact and disaplined with a threat on the counter, away at the top sides is probably a sensible thing to do for the time being. I think we have a better squad than Chelsea too. Liverpool will be right up there. I don't buy into this running out of steam, they have one game a week.

Attack is the best form of defence. Personally I think we'll win comfortably. This is a total contrast to Liverpool. Going to attack at the kop would've been dangerous. We would've got totally opened up and lost heavily so I was happy with a point. Chelsea aren't that quick, there defence is poor and as long as we can keep hazard and Costa quiet, I see no reason why we can't go there and win. Mourinho will be eager with a win to show them what they lost. 0-2 Utd.

we tried and failed against city?

thats one game against a team with a new manager who has never been in the epl, with new players as well.

its just excusses, if we had city results and vise versa pep and city would be getting a dogging on this site .

i don't think liverpool will be up there not good enough at the back or gk or as a unit top 4 maybe won't push for thr title.

jose knows more than any of us. Rooney injured so that probably ups our chances too.

JRed, Liverpool are out scoring everyone in the league. They will challenge.

As much as I've thought the way United played infuriated me, being honest it is a mix of hype against envy. Can blame either manager for the Liverpool united Derby being a disappointment but Jose did show one thing I would love lfc to show. to block a team out.

United/ Chelsea is more interesting as both in transition but are two immensely talented teams so interesting to see what happens. Tbf interested to see what happens with Jose but bit of a catch 22.has an incredible squad to work with (bailey and de gea could walk into any team and have ibra, pogba, mkhitaryan, Schneiderlin and rashford are quality) but takes time to settle a squad.

Not writing you off but top 4 would be an achievement for Jose and think there is a huge amount at United that needs working on to restore the club to where it was. Don't take this as a swipe, are probably the biggest club in world football with following etc but are far off the top team in world football.

If ever a game had 0-0 written all over it, then this is the one. I'm not going to put my money where my mouth is though, because I don't think I can stand anymore borefests.

I'm happy to be patient and am being balanced but it seem people's reading of games is way different to mine. City spanked us, 2-1 makes it look close but the gulf in class was massive. The Liverpool game was embarrassing, the lowest percentage possesion we have ever had, let's not try and justify what was a horrible approach.

It's still very early, in our first nine games we will have played City, Liverpool, and Chelsea. What has hurt us most is losing to Watford and drawing with Stoke we need to be putting those teams away which will put us in the mix.

Agree with stand tbh, city went from one manager to another with a settled squad and pep in the pipeline for a while united have been in transistion and changing manager year after year, new player upon new player from different managers and systems, it's no surprise city are above us but they are stuttering.
Can't understand those saying Liverpool aren't that good, they are joint top, playing good stuff, yet city are amazing, it's baffling, as for Jose tactics that's what he does in big away games, get used to it, we've won 4 games and played well in a number of games, guess united must beat teams 4-1 every week to be acceptable, pretty tiresome this topic now, forget city and Liverpool it's united we support.

So jred
So much for the best squad in the league and having a pop at Liverpools defence.

Liverpool have conceded less than United and out scored your team so they can't be that bad.
