It would somehow seem I am in minority here but personally I thought the performance against Liverpool was horrific and embarrassing. I don't care if it was at Anfield, it was a very poor performance and surely as United fans or fans of football for that matter we deserve better.
I have already seen folk try to convince themselves that this was a Mourinho game of tactical genius but my friends the only person you are fooling is your own intelligence. This was against a Liverpool team who has not kept a clean sheet all season and looked very much nervous at the back. If Klopp played the way we did we would be branding his team pathetic cowards.
There is tactics and there is anti-football and If you can compliment a team watching them do the latter then I cannot begin to comprehend your thinking. Some will say Fergie "did this and that" - you are wrong. Fergie never went into a game with a mindset of drawing a contest - especially not in the league - what Jose did against Liverpool was wrong and it is an insult to paying fans, travelling fans and football fans everywhere.

Maze I think the complete opposite, I feel much more happy this morning and trust Jose and the players even more. If you listened to GNev analysis he is spot on, united are just not ready to be winning leagues this season, he is building, it takes time, I'd love to have seen us counter attack wonderfully but we are still the right players short. What 'top' team has nullified Liverpool this season like that, not pretty but the early stages of Jose at united are encouraging for me. We are capable like at Leicester and stoke of playing really well, have a little faith it'll all come together, he and the players he wants and are building but it'll take time and Jose will get it right.

Pundits who get paid money to brainwash fans into thinking this was a tactical masterclass are poisoning the mind of certain fans into believing this type of performance is okay. It's not - it's wrong.
I am the opposite in terms of Jose at the minute. Like others I have seen the best and the worst of him but if football like this is the garden path he is going to lead us down then I cannot justify it. I am not for one second saying we should have won that game but god damn have at least a little go at it. Jose had no intention of winning that game. None whatsoever.
If you can honestly say you are pleased watching 10 players camped in your own half for the majority of a game playing long balls with no attacking intention then me and you are on different planets my friend.

Maze, Liverpool were shocking for much of the first half.
People have a dendancy to look upon the second half like it's the entire game .
I thought we played well defensively and attack wise first half but second half we just played defensively.
Over 90 minutes I was happy.
A long range effort is what they were limited too.
Liverpool fans are all shouting 'boring, park the bus etc ' but none seem to be analysing the way they played . terrible to be honest.
You sound like them Maze, you sound like a Liverpool fan.

If it wasnt the tactics that nullified liverpool then what was it.
For me it was a no lose game and it exactly went that way, if we sneaked 3 points then perfect. Seriously people need to get a grip.
Lets just say we went toe to toe with liverpool and were beaten 3-0/ 3-1 you wouldve been fuming that we had to endure a spanking, yet this way we have given a lot of confidence to the players which has a run of a game every 3 days until the 5th november or something like. If this was a 1 off game with a weeks rest like liverpool have then you could slightly be forgiven to think why didn't we go a bit more at them, but there's a game thursday and jose needs to look after the squad.
To jred, yes if LVG would have been in charge we would have been ripped, not by the fans for taking a 0-0 draw at the in form side, but ripped by losing by a high score.
Yes LVG beat liverpool twice in the league last season, but the later game when he went to anfield, he did just what you said, got ripped, we were terrible that night, we looked like a side of sunday league players being dumped onto anfield and said go play where you like.
Jose mourinho out did klipperty last night and i'm more than fine with it. and i'm looking forward to beating feyenoord thursday.

im no fan of lvg but he would of got ripped for them tactics, the same way fans on here ripped jose for doing it when he was at chelsea .
im a jose, its what he does, but its hard to defend.
on a side note lvg played liverpool 4 times in the league, won all 4.

Maze/ Leahy. If Fergie had played the two CL Finals against Barcelona with the same tactical know how the Mourinho displays, then we would have won one of these finals. Sometimes, you have to recognize the opposition and make allowances, and that's what Mourinho did. Liverpool have scored 18 goals this season and some wanted us to go there and have a go at them? Is this for real?
Haad we lost, we would have been 6 points behind them, but we didn't and we're only 3 points behind and we can move to the Chelsea game. A good performance and a possible win at Chelsea and things will look a lot better.

Jred lvg played a different liverpool team, wrong comparison.
But remember the Arsenal game lvg completely got everything wrong against a fast pressing team.
But Jose set up the team good we won the midfield yesterday.

Neville as you know does not brainwash he just states an opinion and in my opinion he is spot on. We went to the in form team where everyone was writing us off, even I was fearful, and we completely nullified a team most others has struggled with, a good point against a top 4 rival away, I expect the same at Chelsea Sunday and would be just as happy with another 0-0. It's going to take time to add on the attacking threat to his set up, we know Jose will do this versus the rivals away, have we forgotten liecester amd the good display v Stoke and the wins first 3, it'll take time to click on a regular basis. Jose 1st season at Chelsea was like this, we are just not ready to compete for the league but as in his second season at Chelsea I expect us to be more fluid as tight at times next season, he's got to get his own first team. Jose is a class or two above lvg, yes he's 4/ 4 but 3 was against a poor Liverpool under Brendan.

Neville and giggs both said the same thing that the way we played is the way sir alex always planned for us to play at anfield, i don't know about posters here being young but i do know that giggs and neville are old enough to remember the instructions they received for a set of matches at a ground for over 2 decades from sir alex.

liverpool drew with spurs, i thought spurs where outstanding against city best performance of the season by any team .
the scouse have good options up top, but no plan B, i don't think there great in cm, average at the back and as a defensive unit and have a poor keeper.
spurs for me look a better team front to back . better gk, better back 4, defend better as a team, work harder, have a solid powerful cm, good options up top, kane ali sun etc .
they look a better team who can build on last season.
imo they are a better team than liverpool even if they did only draw with them .

jred, i agree win in one game doesn't make a team better but when a team collects 7 points out of potential 9 against chelsea, tottenham and arsenal and all away games mind you it is not one game is it. They have weaker opponents barring city to face until the halfway stage not a case for us or any other top 4 hopefuls.
And player comparisons are a bit faulty in liverpool's case, they don't have individually worldclass players but as a unit they have shown to be better or atleast equal to any other team in the league. Also it can't be a missed penalty if keeper saves, injury record for any other team i would have agreed but with arsenal not so much, arsenal is one team that is never far away from a injury crisis.
