Javier Hernandez, what do you all think about him now?
He's been scoring goals for fun, and if only LVG believed in him like Fergy did.
We've a lost a major talent in him.
Heard about his attitude and him not wanting to play for us.
Thoughts?
I wish we gave him a run of games.

Quality finisher but his link up play is very poor, would rather have kept welbeck over him to be fair. Also if fergie believed in him so much i doubt he would have broken policy and signed van persie.

Quality goal scorer but a very one dimensional player. I would have preferred he stayed as he offers fantastic depth in the striking department but given that he wanted a more prominent role there was no way the club could keep him against his will.

How many chances do we create?

The biggest problem was Moyes. Under Moyes he played 10-15 minutes every 4-5 games. That simply isn't enough time out of the pitch to maintain your match sharpness and form.
In addition the arrival of RVP saw him benched most of the time. Considering how much he cost he was a bargain of a player for us.
It comes as no surprise at how well he is doing in the Bundesliga. It's a shame that instead of going out on loan to RM that he didn't go out on loan in the EPL.

There was a European game where multiple chances were created for him to tap home and he failed miserably, he's probably at home at a place where there's less pressure.

Good point beast.

You need to be creating chances for somebody like him. He needs to be on the end of a decent chance.

That being said, he would have been a fantastic option from the bench.

Dsg,

The opposite applies to Welbeck, some good link up play but poor finisher .

Loved him as he always had a smile on his face and seemed to just enjoy playing football.

The problem was as many people have pointed out, he was very one dimensional. Quick turn of pace and good finisher, but played next to no part in the build up play and offered nothing defensively. He's a great player to have upfront in those games your going to boss and can afford to carry a player who offers such a deadly finishing. But in those tough games against the best sides you can't afford to have a passenger.

I think he has found his level, at a club that challenges without any real expectation of winning. Good lubk to him, I will always remember him fondly.
