Very unhappy with the result, but if we play the way we have for last 2 pl games we will win most of our games. 5-6 very good chances created, hit the post. Their gk was pretty good, but having said that we missed sitters. Zlatan should have scored, pogba should have scored 2.
Defending for their goal was absolutely horrible, blind is one unlucky fellow, every time he makes a mistake we seem to be punished for it. I have seen smalling hoof the ball and mess up simple clearance and nothing comes of it. DDG was absolutely shambolic for the goal.
Pogba and zlatan disappointed, both should have scored and zlatan especially was poor, i don't remember him winning any aerial duels against shawcross today.
Not having a go at rooney or something but we bench him 2 games and we play our best bit of football in 3 seasons in those 2 games, coincidence maybe; maybe not.

It was one of those days.
And arsenal have just scored an offside handball goal in injury time, so it's one of those weeks.
But our play was really good at times. And that's what matters.

Oh bore off with Rooney talk, we played well last 2 league games and we was rubbish in midweek but it's about getting a consistent team regular which we've just started doing. Rooney has been effective coming off bench, 2 random assists like but there you go, I like Rooney coming off the bench, I think Miki and Martial will eventually get in ahead of Mata and Lingard tho.

should of won today against a poor stoke team that had picked up 2 points from the last 6 games. letting in 17 goals .
city got beat today tho
spurs where great very very good .
and arsenal got a bit of luck.

It's all about momentum.
I still believe Carrick is getting far less minutes than he deserves.
And Memphis looked good when he came on.
I'd rather see us play Memphis more often than Young on the wing.

I didn't count the mid week game jred as playing rojo is akin to playing with 10 men, also as u don't agree that today was our best game in 3 years, please show me a game where we played better. We will play far far worse and get 3 points, as imbs says it was 1 of those days.
Rohan agree with you, i think mou should play carrick for mata against Liverpool as i don't think a herrera pogba mf is defensive enough for that game. Also does someone know if mkhi has been called up for national duty?

1 1 draw at home against what was a very poor stoke team . i thought they where awful, hughes has his work cut out .
you can see why they had only picked up 2 points before yesterday and let in 17 goals in 6 games .
best performance in 3 years? not for me .
you said in your op pogba and ibra where poor, on top of that ddg even made a mistake, our finishing was awful and the goal we let in was a joke .
stoke where there to get stuffed, bad day at the office imo and points dropped .
we put out a strong team on wednesday as well imo against an even worse team . front 4 was the same as the last 2 league games and struggled for goals .

as for when we have played better, i thought when we beat stoke 3 0 last season was better, better team performance when we beat city 1.0 in what was a crap game.
played better when we beat arsenal 3.2 .
and rashfords first game , he scored 2 we won 5.1 and could of been more .
and that's just since xmas
so not a awful performance yesterday but not the best in the last 3 year imo.

So barring the minnows match we weren't as u put it "much much better" in any of the matches u have listed. Against city and arsenal we were outplayed but came away with the points, which what i said, we will play far far worse in the season and come away with full points. We should have won the match by 4-5 goals, but our finishing let us down, that does not mean we did not play well, or are we now interested in only the scoreline and not our performance, because last season i heard a fair few here moan about taking a good performance rather than a drab win, we get one and people still moan.
Also the players i called as poor were for their finishing and nothing else, DDG's was an individual error, our performance was the best i have seen in 3 years and just because we could not score does not make our performance bad.

we stuffed them 3 0 at home last season .
in fact we have beat far better over the last 3 year .
we even had some good results in europe under moyes .

jred u can't expect me to remember exactly what i saw few months ago and i am too bored too even try and watch all those matches again.
Again as i said u are giving preference to results over performance, we beat them 3-0 yes but that was a lot more of an even game than 1-1 as stats show u, and stats are not an awful way to judge games just because they don't back u. We created more chances than all those games u listed barring the midgetland game, we also did not allow the opponents as many chances as we did in any of those games u have suggested.
We just had a game which 9 times out of 10 we would win by 5-6 goals, this was the 1 time that does not change the fact that it was a brilliant performance and as i said u are giving more importance to results rather than performance, what happened to we have to play the right way u kept harping about under lvg, so would it have been a great performance if we created only 2-3 chances and scored of all than creating as many as we did and not score. Because if u think we were played better than yesterday against arsenal and city where we were outplayed but got the results thanks to ddg saving us and we getting our finishing right then i have nothing much to say that will change your opinion.
