Well lads, how much better was that? Yes there were times we were carved open too easily, and I think we took it too easy second half, no tempo. But the game was won at half time. I have been campaigning to see a midfield of Pogba and Hererra and think they were the two best players on the pitch today. Hererra is one of my favourite players and was brilliant in front of the back four. Pogba ran the game for me today. Passing was excellent, tackles and interseptions, neat and tidy on the ball, and a good header for his first goal. Daily Blind is another who deserves credit again today. Did a great job filling in a LB. How good is his set piece delivery compared to you know who? The attack is so much more fluid without Rooney, much quicker and more instinctive. Rooney should be used sparingly now, off the bench and cup games. Rashford and Lingard were a constant threat with their pace, Mata always links up well, he may not be blessed with pace, but he's a very intelligent player and technically brilliant. Very pleased with that today. Let's hope we build on that now. Shaw back in for Smalling when fit, and bring Miki in for Lingard and we have a very good team.
{Ed004's Note - Shaw and Mkhitarian in for Smalling/Blind and Lingard (possibly Martial for Rashford) for home games and in the tough away games bring in Carrick for Mata. Rooney was decent when he came on and is an experienced player to bring on.}

Posted something along those lines the other day. i think when mick is right and fit we would be even better than Mata at 10. Rashford, Martial and Mick behind Zlatan for me is the best line up and rooney/ lingard/ mata/ depay as second choice when you want to change things up a bit.
