I'm not a Wayne fan but seriously people, you'd rather have an unfit overweight Bastian who messed us about last year? Rooney may be a number if things but you can't question his commitment. Someone wrote ge is a cancer which is, an appalling comment, its not banter its abuse.
It feels like mass hysteria at the moment. I'd have moved Rooney on years ago but right now he ain't the worst.

AJH, obviously Rooney has more to contribute that Schwein at the moment. But if the choice is between a bit-part Schwein in the first team squad or Rooney starting every week, I know what I'd want.

Looks like people would Tony yes. Rightly so imo. Your right he should have gone years ago but I beeline he is causing serious damage both in and if the pitch now. And its not abuse read ed1 on other page. It is a well known turn of phrase to describe a long term problem that if allowed to combine will continue to destroy.

AJH, have you just used being overweight and messing the club around as two forms of defence for Rooney? The mans who's been overweight his whole career, and held the club to ransom on more than one occasion, and still has power now? You couldn't make it up 😂.

Why don't we have multiple good medal winner Sir Chris Hoy v Rooney playing number 10 poll. The only time I've seen Schweiny play recently was the Euros where amazingly he look trim and fit and played ok. The rest of time he's an oil tanker these days. The irony that we have our own schweiny/ bayern problem but have kept him and bought Bastian as well seems lost on Woody and co. Rooney as our star player should be compared to say KDB or Vidal in midfield or Aguero/ Suarez up top as that's where he's pitched and he's more that a million miles away from all of them.

I just clicked it, 84% think Rooney is the biggest waste of space so far, that's our club captain and England captain - up against a German visitor who has taken the club for a ride. It should tell us all we need to know and the club all it needs to know about where Rooney rates for the many.
BTW on his contract when I checked the other day it was 50/ 50 whether he has clause about playing each week. Yet only a couple of people have said that may be the case on here, with a lot saying it's ridiculous!
A lot of people Anti-Rooney but don't want to subject themselves to attack for saying it, it seems. It's about time the facade was torn up.
