Good start to the season indeed. I think Jose will be ecstatic in regards to how the players have taken to him thus far. Said it before and I will say it again forget the new signings the lads who have been here for a while now are showing what they are capable of and what an absolute waste of LVG was.
All the LVG apologists kept going on last year about how LVG was good for the long term and his style would be left imprinted on our players for years to come. What has happened is Jose has came in and stuck his two fingers up to LVG's philosophy and rightly so. Good on you Jose.
Hats off to Valencia who was man of the match against Hull and I love seeing him get forward from full back. Good on Wayne for that fantastic assist, just a shame it wasn't Pogba dancing through players as it would have then been a world class effort. Finally well done Hull with all thier troubles still trying to play good football.

I thought Hull were incredible. We battered them for long periods and they played out of their skins. Wayne came up with a great moment when it mattered and it was Rashford who was sharp and making the right run in the box after Zlatan has been caught on his heels from a Rashford cross moments earlier.
Can't wait to see this team tested against City, interesting to see how Jose lines the team up. Maybe Pogba 10 and Rooney left for Martial? Miki or Rashford would offer more counter attack pace than Mata from the right.
What a crap time for an international break.

Hull were in fine form coming into this game and are one of the few teams anywere near capable of matching up physically against us but like dodgy says we battered them the score should of been more even from the periods were not quite so sharpe we domintaed. City is a completely different test there the shortest but most gifted team we will have a huge advantage in size hope it overloads them and we out muscle there little players i can see Jose trying to keep it tight and push lots up for set pieces and corners.

got a feeling we will start with micky for mata and rashford for martial with wayne left micky right hope the wig gets fit he will help maximise our superior height advantage and if we keep it tight at the back with fast breaks we can beat them two ways fast breaks and advantages in arial duels.
