From Liverpool banter
Without Aguero and Zlatan Manchester teams are Nothing upfront.
According to our friendly enemy BigAl
Another post saying before the game
"Could finish 7-3 by the looks of that lineup! ".

They've got nothing to worry about, they were always going to ease off today after winning the title last weekend against arsenal.

Who said 7-3? I never give out or comment prediction scorelines.
I said the United team are nothing up front without Zatlan.

Sorry Al but you are wrong. Our main issue last year was having to play 2 holding midfielders to protect the defence. Bailey is a beast so we don't have to do that. We als lacked dynamism in the middle which Pogba addresses. Up front is not an issue, if Ibra is injured then we play Rashford or Martial up front, we also have Micky to come in. Cling to your hope of us failing. but for me, this year will be between the 2 Manchester teams.

Luckily upfront is not a problem for us.

We have Rashford, Miki, Depay, Lingard who all can't get into the first team front 4.
Rooney, Martial, Depay can all perform at a very high level as a 9. I think we are okay if Zlatan misses some games.
Thanks for your concern though! I would take a closer look at your own team if I were you - I am delighted with our squad.

I agree Tony. We still have lots of work to do but the potential for improvement is huge. Chelsea and spurs will be there our there abouts too I think.

This is my point mate. I'm not talking about players who can fill in. I'm fully aware united and city have players who can fill in. I'm talking about replacing zatlan with a quality goalscorer which you do not possess. How many goals did those players score between them last season and forget rooneys penaltys?
I'm concluding on this one mate.

Al, the players you mention didn't score goals, because of LVG and his straightjacket tactics. I doubt Messi would have got into double figures playing in one of his teams.

Big Al, what was Rashfords goal per game ratio, I'm not sure myself but i think it was pretty good.

Al mate you can't look at what our strikers scored or didn't score last season as a bench mark. We averaged 3-4 chances a game last season due to LvG's negative tactics. Messi wouldn't have scored 20 goals for us if he was in our team last season.
Rashford had a very good goals to game ratio, and Rooney still scored double figures regardless of spending half the season in midfield. Memphis is a player who if played correctly can score double figures for us as is Martial.
The thing that frustrated most fans last season wad the fact we had plenty of players capable of scoring well and often but they were forced to play in a manner where they never had a chance to shoot.
Mata, Rooney, Depay, Lingard, Martial, Rashford and Zlatan should all be able to score between 8-25 goals each a season.
I think with a stronger defence, a multifuncional midfield and a potent forward line I'm sure we will be fine.
Where as you a Sturridge injury away from struggling to score. Good thing he isn't prone to the odd injury hey? Lol.
