With a few new big names coming through the door and a few expected departures still to come, what young players are we expecting to see play first team football this season?
I assume we would all expect Jose to push Rashford into the first team setup straight away and possibly Mensah getting a few minutes here and there. Januzaj has gone on loan and it seems Wilson will follow suit so those two are void.
Is there any other players folk can see Jose integrating into the first team this season from the youth team?
It is always exciting to see a young lad getting some game time and I hope Jose puts some faith and time into our top prospects within the academy.

fosu mensah will be one i think who will be given chances, though i don't expect too many changes until europa league starts.

Axel Tuanzebe is one I'd like to see Jose said he liked him in preseason maybe a few games in the league cup are in his immediate future.
I'm more concerned for perreira though the boy needs games with our options at 10 a loan move should be the best for him. I wonder if the eds have heard anything about him.

Not sure too many in the youth team will be ready this year and may need an extra year under their belt in the academy, have to remember Rashford came in a year or 2 earlier than the club would have expected and Jose is right to take the pressure off him and only use him in certain games this season, he is the future of our club and we should protect him, he quality is there for all to see.
From the under 23 squad the other night Tuanzebe is the one that stands out as having the next chance and obviously CBJ in my opinion should be backup to Shaw, but unless we offload Rojo his wages are too high to not use him in that role at this point. From the rest of that squad there is plenty of potential but none that stand out a huge amount at the moment as being good enough.
LVG was struggling to make an impact and was right to use youngsters to see if they helped, which they did at the time. He has left Rashford and Lingard and to some extent TFM ready to be members of the first team squad that Jose can now use, but with all of us expecting a title challenge this season it is not easy to just throw a young kid in, they have to be good enough to win every game and in my opinion out of this current age group Rashford and TFM were a class above the rest and moved into the first team ahead of schedule, so we may have to wait until the next level until we get some more coming through that are good enough to challenge for a league title.
I am unsure we can challenge for the title as well as bring youth through this year (as we already brought through the best last year) and I know which one I would prefer.
Like a kid at Christmas today who isn't allowed to open his presents until 8pm, can't sit still!

We have a bloated squad with plenty of quality, I don't see too many youngsters given chances this year. We're also desperate for good results so Jose won't look to take too many risks.
Rashford will get his chances. TFM I think will get sporadic chances. Pereira needs a loan to develop. CBJ either needs to cover Shaw or maybe get a loan. Tuanzebe is a real talent but not ready for regular first team football Imo.
Thats about it, the others are either not ready or need loan moves. Considering how young the likes of Rashford, Shaw and Martial are (and even the likes of Pogba and Ddg relative to their quality) I'm more than happy with the spread of ages in our squad right now.

Maze I'm still hoping that tfm Can make a big impact if and when he gets his opportunities I really do think he is that good. Rashford will play the most and Jessie will be the other graduate that plays. I would imagine cbj will go out on loan with wilson periera and adnan. Keane and blackett sold possibly.
We have a big squad at the moment so I doubt anyone new will breakthrough this season.

Our squad is large, and Jose doesn't like to make too many changes very often. Rashford and Mensah look the most likely to pick up a few minutes. Obviously we also have Lingard, Shaw, Bailly, Depay and Martial who are established first team players who are still youngsters.
So we have plenty of options to name a youthful line up if we want.
I doubt Mourinho will give many minutes to any of the other youth players, maybe Axel Tuanzebe if we have a few injuries, or maybe in the odd cup game.
We have loaned out Januzaj and are looking for loans for Pereira and Wilson. Apparently we are also considering loaning out CBJ. I expect Keane will follow Powell Blackett and Rothwell out the exit door.
The olny other youth players who could be ready for a few minutes are Riley and Weir, but both play in positions we are well covered in.

With Rooney, Zlatan, Carrick, Scweinstiger, and Valencia being the only players over 30, and only 3 of them to play regularly, I think our squad is in great shape age wise. It is this as the reason many of the youngsters won't get much of a look in this season. The likes of Rashfird, TFM and CBJ have already shown they are adequate replacements at their worst and the likes of Perreira and Axel could get a shot in the cup games.
Just to add to those naming DDG well Rojo, Blind, Smalling, Herrera, Scneiderlin and Darmian are all roughly the same age.

O think the only youth we'll see will be Rashford, maybe 20 appearances including subs, Tfm maybe 10, lingard maybe 20.
Nosw tends to pick a solid team and stick with it. So unless we unload a bunch of midfielders I think it's points and not youth this season.

I suppose it will depend largely how the season pan out if jose finds a stable winning formula I don't expect to see any break through this season (with the exception of rashford) however if we suffer from injuries and suspension then maybe one or two will come in.
