I see a lot negativity is starting to dribble out on this page regarding the Paul Pogba transfer. Just want to remind some of you that this will be the biggest football transfer of all time, bigger than Ronaldo and Bale's transfers to Madrid.
I imagine that all parties are working very hard to get this deal sorted ASAP. But when over £100m is involved it will always be more complex.
Just remind yourself of what Ed002 said a while back about transfers, there is a lot more to it than the media make it out to be.

I just think some people want any excuse to be negative about united. Last season it was Louis. Now Louis has gone their looking for something else to beat the club with. This week its pogba. Next week it'll be something else. All with a side order of Rooney.

We have done fantastically well in the transfer window and its looking likely pogba will be added. A deal this size takes an enormous amount of work and it will be done when it's done. 3 outta 4 is some work by Ed Woodward so far. Hats off to him again.

I think if we get a player who is/ has been courted by Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG and City for all their wealth, Chelsea and at one point Munich as well as Juventus being desperate to keep hold of him, then the club and personnel involved should be applauded. Whether as fans we agree with the player or the fee involved, we should be impressed the club have landed (if we do) this player.
Unfortunately I think the days of United buying young, raw talent or taking kids from the academy and making them superstars is slowly fading away and we are going to be looking at more established players for large fees. As long as we keep an element of blooding youngsters from the academy, we will still maintain part of our history.
The sad thing is, potentially next season, £100 Million may be smashed! Especially if RM want a quote for Rashford!

This window has been great looking to be even better, I don't think everyone is negative they just have varying opinions on differing aspects, end of the day we all want what's best for our club and this season I believe we've a lot to be positive about.

For the biggest transfer in history I expect a prime Messi, Ronaldo, Bale, Giggs, Scholes, Bastian, Xavi, Iniesta not a top 10 in his position with potential to be the best CM in the world.

Ports we've done that since Fergie took over. He smashed the British transfer record how many times to bring in established players for the academy guys to learn off. I don't see that anything's changed apart from the prices involved.

We don't have any solid information on the PP deal. But there are a few reputable Italian journalists saying it's been agreed for awhile. You'd have to imagine Jose and Ed would know if the deal is a goer or not and if it wasn't, Jose would be onto his next midfield target like lightning. It was never likely to be announced until he finished his holiday anyways but it's the media making stories out of thin air because there isn't any other news available and some of the fans lap it up as gospel.

I read it online in The Mirror Sport Prince Zlatan he was asked if he was staying at Juventus and he answered yes.

Thats all well and good to say MulamNO but the likes of Ronaldo and Messi in their prime would cost at least double that in todays market imo (Barca turned down 250 mil for Messi a few years ago according to Ed002). The likes of Giggs and Scholes were never available for any amount of money, so these are surely moot points.
All this whilst Pogba (who happens to be our managers first choice option) IS seemingly available, for an amount of money that we have available to spend.
