We have to play great every minute of every game or else.
20min into a game and X player is unfit y player needs dropped formation needs changed .
Some players can do no wrong some can do nothing right

Live chat i think is great. Jamie did a complete u turn in about 20 mins 😀 last year calling for matta to die today he wanted him knighted. you have to take some posts with a pinch of salt. If you get frustrated by it don't go on its not compulsory.
It can't be worth getting annoyed or frustrated by. If you don't like it don't go on or go on and enjoy watching some put their foot in it.

It's always the same. I'm not always the most positive but some of the posts I've seen are daft. Ultimately it's pre season. If we played terrible in a game that mattered then criticism is warranted but slating players who've had a few training sessions and no game time so far this pre season is laughable.

I like rashford a lot his pace is electric. Love him cutting in from the right. Great to see Memphis outing in a lot more effort and some lively touches.
The atmosphere in the squad looks great. Ibra had some nice touches. Mata was very good again as was Jessie. Carrick and fellaini outshone Herrera and morgan in midfield. Valencia looked very good today in the final third.
Lots of positives.
Great to see roo in the box to finish too.
With pogba and a new cb to come in we will be even better.

J red, everything about football is instant nowadays. There's zero patience. You're only as good as your last pass. Just look at the Pogba deal. People have gone full circle on it already. It's pre-season with the fella on holiday and people have gone from "he's a must buy, get him in" to "I'm sick of him and his agent. We need X Y Z instead".
Timing is everything. We announced our manager early, signed 3 first team players early and then people get bored. We didn't play well in the first half but the second half was fantastic. Had everything a pre-season should have.
Slow cooked pork is better than a microwaved hotdog.

I don't get people who get stressed about pre season friendlies. i'm sure real and Barcelona were distraught when we best them under lvg.
That being said rashford added an extra dimension running behind their defence. The boys doing everything he can to get in the team. Would love to see him and ibra in a 4-4-2.

I loved it but it became a moan fest. People were complaining after 2 minutes. I'm all for free speech and candid opinions but it got a bit ugly.

A good second half doesn't take away from an abysmal first half. I'm not bothered as it's friendlies and they mean next to nothing, however the lack of tempo that first half was concerning and I couldn't justify sticking with it, as clearly half the players were less bothered than I was.

Totally agree jred, it's the reason I don't bother posting so much these days. Too much hyperbole and sensationalism. Pre season friendlies are glorified fitness sessions yet some of our posters are able to write off our players and make rash judgements based on a single, meaningless game.

My assessment of the first half was fair, I have read a couple of independent reports and they all say pretty much what I said. Didn't watch the second half, I assumed it would be as dull as the first and I had to wax my bikini line!
Are we not allowed to comment unless it's just to give praise, I missed that memo?
I haven't written off any players based on friendlies, give me some credit. I hate how everything seems to be spun by some people so you can't provide any sort of critique without being called some sort of plastic fan.
Around 12 months ago I blasted LVG big time on here and got laughed off ad nauseum for being over dramatic (record number of disagrees if I recall some people mocking, "he doesn't even agree with himself", was another comment) . Well I bring that up because multiple times I get people come on here and slag off a post of mine making it seem like I am clueless, yet I'm proven right 9/ 10 times or at least not proven wrong! If you put your neck on the line as often as I do rather than just stalking the website you are bound to get one or two calls wrong. Missing a second half of a crap friendly is hardly a hanging offence, yet it's used to undermine my credibility - farce.
Not too sure what is so bad about calling a pre-season friendly for what it is, but each to their own.
P. S - I'm fed up of seeing people post "the reason I don't post so often is blah blah blah", like you are too good for the website or your views are superior and we aren't worthy. YET when people like you do post, they have some inane criticism of another poster! Criticising somebody for being critical about something which has no bearing on their life, makes me laugh!

I enjoy the beasts comments, and it clear he knows a bit about football.
I don't always agree with them but I won't shot a man for having a different opinion than mine. His 1st half summary was pretty spot on, but god for bid let's not hang him for not watching the 2nd half. Even if he had watched the 2nd half it doesn't change the fact the 1st half wasn't very good.

Beast is getting some stick but there where plenty on the live chat given it the same .
When we don't play well it normally due to a multiple of reasons but people just revert to the pet hate.
It spoils the live chat as people have made there mind up before a ball is kicked, they are in a mind set of who is going to do well and who won't .
The knives are out before a ball is kicked.

I gave up on the live chat at half time because it is just a platform that allows jaime to post the negative nonsense that the eds obviously don't post on the main site anymore.
We were losing a friendly that was the first game back for some of the players and they were being accused of being useless and disinterested, some of the comments were embarrassing and what I would expect from Liverpool fans which concerns me.
