Correct me if I'm wrong but if this reported agents fee is the only stumbling block to the Pogba deal does that not reflect really badly on him?

If you believe reports the agent is the only thing that's stopping his move from happening.

Could anyone tell me if agents actually have this amount of power or say in deals or is there actually another underlying issue?

If they do have that much power something needs put in place to stop these knobs dictating everything.

{Ed002's Note - You are wrong.}

Nice and simple ed. What seems to be the problem and why do agents seem to have such an influence? They are a nuisance IMO.

{Ed002's Note - I have no interest in explaining any of it on this page but you all seem rather misinformed.}

27 Jul 2016 13:28:22
So ed, could it be a case of pogba and raiola stalling so madrid can raise the cash or is it as simple as juventus and united not agreeing on the price?

27 Jul 2016 14:16:07
Pogba is on holiday until the 6th so i can't see anything being concrete until after then. All of 'deal soon' headlines are probably just to sell papers or get clicks on a webpage.

27 Jul 2016 14:13:28
Is the bottom line. he is holding on to see if madrid can make it happen as it seems he wants to go to spain.

27 Jul 2016 14:23:07
002 - we probably are misinformed because we have to rely on what we read elsewhere, because you won't give us your valuable insights because a few act like spoilt children. Can we not just ban them, or edit the site so only logged in users can see ED posts? That would surely filter out the idiots.

Yet another pointless insult/ contribution from Ed002!

27 Jul 2016 14:13:05
From what I've read, Raiola was shrewd in including a 20% ownership fee in Pogba's contract with Juventus and that is the money he is due regardless of the price. Unfortunatly, if that is the case the buying club needs to buy that percentage too. This would then mean Juve could be saying pay us more for their 80% and that could be a sticking point.
Is that fair to say ED?

Ultimately only those around the table know the exact details and the rest is just guess work.

27 Jul 2016 16:27:18
What page would you be able to explain it on? As I'm genuinely interested in the uprise of these super agents. Cheers for your time, if you decide to provide anything.

{Ed002's Note - Try asking on the European pages but I am not giving any further details in respect of the Pogba situation.}

One thing is clear. Being a good/ top football agent is a good career choice.

Sorry Yer man, don't agree, if i owned 20% of a house and it sold for $1 million, i would get $200,000, the buyer wouldn't have to give me an extra $200,000 on top of the $1 million, i don't see why this should be any difference, especially when it looks like Juventus have put an extra 20%-40% and on the fee already.
Unless we already new this, which would make this a 120 million transfer fee and 100 million.
People keep calling it his commission and some people say he owns 20%, if he owns 20% its not commission, from what i understand he asked for 20% of any resale of Pogba as commission when he brokered the deal with Juventus. Which to me should be 20% of the fee paid by Juventus.

@ed002: I totally understand your reluctance to give information on this page due to repeated instances of people not accepting/ appreciating the info, but there are many on here that acknowledge their ignorance over certain matters and would welcome your input in the hope we'll be a better informed bunch in future.

Deckchairs on the titanic springs to mind, but the info would be very welcome to a significant proportion of readers.
