My apologies if this has already been subject of conversation but, guys, this Pogba talk and prices being quoted is getting ridiculous!?

I know the guys only 23 and has potential but the fees involved are obsurd!

I could think of 2, even 3 players we could buy for gods sake!

We are being made mugs!

Agree7 Disagree9

25 Jul 2016 19:48:06
I have to agree with you, mate. It isn't so much the price for the player, but the reported fee the agent is getting.

I am definitely in the wrong line of business.

25 Jul 2016 20:55:59
Finally, someone has said it.

25 Jul 2016 20:58:25
"My apologies if this has already been subject of conversation but. "

Bloody hell Ronnie, I know he's not on your radar at the grand old age of 23, but I nearly spat me tea out when I read that.
Paul Pogba has been discussed more than brexit, Theresa May and Donald Trump's Barnet combined over the last month.

Paul bloody Pogba. Aarrrrgggghhhhhhh.

25 Jul 2016 21:16:57
Cmon guys does it always have to be him? There's nothing new to this topic . I know it's a discussion site and all but this thing is doing my head in and I know I'm not the only one. I'd rather have another Rooney debate at least he's our player already.

25 Jul 2016 22:08:02
Hahaha, got him Ronnie ;)

25 Jul 2016 22:07:26
There's nearly always players I'd rather than the ones we sign. But it's tough isn't it. I'm not the manager. And if we sign Pogba for £100m I for one will be happy as he's a MILLION miles better than any of the CM's we currently have. Plus age on his side he will improve. Not my money so don't really give a carrot. Rather it go on Pogba that in the glaziers pockets.

25 Jul 2016 23:19:02
Pogba isn't just a footballing icon atm, but his brand is the 2nd biggest sporting brand out there right now just behind "Cheff" Curry. If people truely understood that, and knew what he actually brings to the table, they would realise on all buisness fronts Pogba is a steal at 120M.
Do people realise how much money United would benefit from if Pogba was to bring his DAB to United?!

26 Jul 2016 01:08:33
But most shirt sales result in the profit going back to the sponsor/ manufacturers so for us Adidas would benefit most.

26 Jul 2016 02:33:28
Just going to put it out there. Saul niguez and mahrez anyone? Fees quoted are roughly the same combined as pogba and both improve our team immensely! Yes before you say it miki looks class but I think he should be playing behind whatever striker Jose picks. on a side note Kante at 30mil we missed a trick.

26 Jul 2016 04:42:11
Cr92 that is blatant lie.

26 Jul 2016 05:28:41
MAZE if it's a blatant lie, feel free to use the Internet n find out. Or better yet ask one of the eds, becoz I'm sure 1 of them would no. Also I was under the impression United would also buy Pogba image rights whatever that means, I'm sure it will also bring to the revenue. MAZE better yet, the article is 'worlds 50 most marketable' and they place Pogba 2nd behind Steph Curry. Now maze, mate I'm not one of these that come on here and spread lies I create in my head. Look to others for that, also if you thought that was a lie why not check before? .

26 Jul 2016 05:40:07
Let me also add ''50 most marketable 2016" on sportspromedia, before you read something else and still try say I 'lied' or even made it up. Next, I'm expecting you to say It's a trump conspiracy and I stole/ copied someone's info XD. Night night pal!

"if Pogba brings his DAB to United"?

What difference will a radio make to our income?

26 Jul 2016 07:44:42
Radio frequencies my friend, Extort the MASSES muahahaaaa!

Nah on a serious note, wherever Pogba goes or if he stays at Juve, he is a money making machine right now! Just how Ronaldo was when he left for Madrid and NO I am not saying there the same level but not that far off!

Pogba Dabbing in front of Stretford End? What United fan would say no to that unless it was for an opposition? .

Pogba is the biggest footballing brand with Neymar some what behind him as second, can you not see what that dabbing has done for his Career 😂😂😂.

{Ed001's Note - Ronaldo, Messi and (still) Beckham are the biggest footballing brands by a long way. Pogba is next, but he is a way behind those as is Neymar Jr.}

26 Jul 2016 08:00:54
What I meant was from the article I mentioned. On that list, he is first footballer and second all round sports star and Neymar is then the second footballer but they 8th star on their. I couldn't tell you how reliable the source/ Article is tho. What do you think Ed? Does the article have any credibility?! .

{Ed001's Note - I have not read the article, but it must be crap as Jordan is THE biggest sports brand in the world by a long way. It is a sales juggernaut. Nothing comes close to that. I can only assume they mean up and coming new brands, rather than established ones.}

26 Jul 2016 08:14:08
Yes I'm sure you're right ed, it probably is 'Upcoming' sport stars, but still impressive! People on here would take Neymar over Pogba, I for one would too. But Pogba being at 120M and financially a good buy, why would people complain when Neymar would cost nearly double that but wouldn't necessarily be better business wise? . I think Pogba make sense for the club on all front and people saying financially it's madness, look at Higuains price and compare it to Pogba who as a Brand is only on the rise!

26 Jul 2016 08:53:11
Interesting debate but never even thought of Pogba as a brand and he has become big news because of United and the sums involved in signing him mainly being a world record transfer fee.

Messi, Ronaldo are brands for what they have achieved in the game, hard to be a brand before any major sporting achievements IMO. On that basis Ibra is a steal of a signing because he surely is a much better known entity and a brand.

26 Jul 2016 09:40:14
Article on image rights and how clubs save huge amounts of money in tax through them.

001, I believe it takes into account the potential for a brand to significantly grow in terms of "having a person to hook a brand story to". Also, it takes into consideration three years in advance, not present day.

And, also it's still some geezer named Dave sat behind his computer typing spout that means nothing in reality lol!
