"Just a passing comment as an Evertonian but I feel PEP already has Mourinho rocked.
Mourhino refuses to train and talk to press due to stadium heat and now cancels friendly against you lot due to pitch, strange how city say it's not that bad. Maybe what happened at chelsea and the Dortmund result already has him hearing voices and weaving baskets. 😀. "

Just something I read on the Man City page. Deluded to say the least? Got me smiling though.

Why would any manager be runnung away from a friendly. they use these matches to look at their players.
Always nice to win but that's not the important part of a friendly
There was torrential rain there and the press room was like a sauna.
No point in risking serious injury and if you looked in to it properly
Pep wasnt hapoy about it either.

Let the season end and we shall see, who finishes higher.
I believe Pep is in line for the shock of his life with the Premier League competitiveness.

{Ed041's Note - he's not the messiah he's just a very naughty boy. I agree mate

25 Jul 2016 17:14:25
He may be in for a bit of a shock but he shown himself in every job to be dedicated and concerned with the small details so I do not think it will upset his plans at all. More importantly he has a very and mostly talented squad already who and has added quality players to it. They will be a very hard team to beat this year. I want Utd to beat them so much but realistically even if we get Pogba we still have a decent bit not great centre half pairing also our team needs to gel and have the confidence to play which has been knocked out of them for three years. I think we should be realistic and hope to get top four this year maybe win a cup and then next year really we should be a hugely lot improved and fight for everything.

25 Jul 2016 17:17:10
Or maybe city aren't familiar with playing in front of large crowds.

25 Jul 2016 17:51:08
Nothing will make me happier than watching the messiah fall flat on his smug face .

{Ed041's Note - what have I ever done to you fatty :)

25 Jul 2016 17:14:40
Well he's never experienced competitiveness. 3-4 games a season against Real depending on the cup draws and a few European games is it. Germany wasn't even competitive. He might as well of took the Celtic job instead of Rodgers. More his standard. No offence Bond.

{Ed007's Note - None taken, I'd take Rodgers over Guardiola any day.}

Always happy to see an Evertonian or any scouser for that matter come on here and telling us that we're going to be rubbish, that only tells me that they're sh. tting themselves over what's going to happen this season.
Bring it on boys and if you feel that Pep has got Jose worried then that's your view. Let's see what will happen. I actually think you should be worried about the red half of scouse land as they've bought very well.

25 Jul 2016 18:34:20
It's not like the sky blues blew us away last year. Why would we not enter this season with anything other than optimism. They may be improved but so will we.

25 Jul 2016 19:31:30
Mort was that the Celtic who won the European Cup before United you are talking about? lol.

25 Jul 2016 20:54:59
I'm sure i so a press conference outside and then the lads training afterwards, and i don't think Utd would be allowed to cancel the game by themselves. Nice try Raghav.

25 Jul 2016 21:26:35
Chris? Is that you Chris? You've only gone and done a jmb 😃.

25 Jul 2016 21:31:07
What's 1967 got to do with anything? Fact is Scotland hasn't been competitive since Fergie came South.

25 Jul 2016 23:44:58
You must have missed us in th 2003 Uefa Cup final mort, before United extended OT to accomodate all the fans from Surrey, Japan and all the other glory hunters Celtic Park was the biggest club ground in Britain, Fergie would be first to admit Celtic are a huge club, i have also supported United for over 40 years, my point was you underestimate the size of Celtic if we had the same tv money as EPL clubs we would still be contesting CL finals.

25 Jul 2016 23:54:46
The fact is mort you bought celtic in to it, and now there's your answer.

26 Jul 2016 10:01:48
I'm not talking about the size of Celtic. Yes your a massive club. In a tiny pond. The point I was making is the Scottish league is not competitive and hasn't been for decades. Nothing to do with the size of Celtic. Its the lack of other clubs challenging. Other clubs in Scotland simply can't compete with Celtics financial power. Look at the mess rangers got into trying.
