If you had choice would you want pogba at 100 mill plus or kane at 30 mill
Me personally love pogba superstar player
But can't help feeling kane is a snip at 30 mill
Comparing makele versus viera in 90s both were unreal for there teams
Just can't help feeling pogba didn't want to go back really just noone else was silly enough to pay that amount and juve ain't going to turn that money down.

Both very good but very different type of player. Kante appears to be great value. Come back in May and then we will know who got the better deal. Both mangers got the player they want. Let's see how they do with them.

To be fair Kante is a fantastic player who most people would take, me included. However if Pogba improves on 8 goals and 12 assists from midfield then i'm going to say Pogba. Last player to score and assist that amount from the middle of the the park was Ya Ya Toure and City won the league.

Barkley got 9 assist and 8 goals, Everton won nothing and everyone spent a season saying he was overrated and to expensive.
Ozil got 6 goal and 19 assist arsenal won nothing .
Milner got 11 assists and 6 goals .
Our 100mil player needs to step up, I keep reading what a great player he is .
A big question is where will he play . It's looking like cm in a 4231 will be interesting to see.

Without any european football Chelsea should be in a good position to make a run at the title with or without Kante. There is so much more to it than a straight comparison. For the longer term, if there is such a thing anymore, I would take Pogba.

i would take can't at 30 million an die should have signed pjanic. we should hire whoever is doing the football business end for juve as they have built a serious european contender for a faction of what we are spending without the circus act every season or bayern for that matter.

What about milner 11 assists?
I agree it pointless but it keeps coming up.
{Ed001's Note - Milner is awful, but he works hard and puts in a lot of attempted crosses and passes in the final third, so he should have a lot more assists really. When he played in central midfield, which was not often, he seemed to think his job was to be an auxiliary winger, so it is no wonder he has lots of assists. If you keep putting the ball in there someone will put it in the net.}

I'm not convinced Kante will do it again. Good season but let's see how he faces at a big club under huge pressure.
{Ed001's Note - really? He was fantastic before Leicester signed him, but no one wanted to know as he was 'too short' according to just about everyone. No matter how many scouts recommended him, the likes of Wenger etc all decided his height was an issue. The lad has been well known amongst European scouts for a few years, if he doesn't do well, that is because the team does not suit him, rather than a lack of any quality on his part.}

Fair enough Ed, he was a complete unknown quantity to me. In terms of the opening question, the Es are academic, the question is who will do better, Kante or Pogba. If Pogba has as a good a season as Kante had last year then it will be money well spent.
{Ed001's Note - sorry, it is a pet hate of mine players not being considered because of their height, so I tend to take notice of ones that get rejected by clubs because of it.}

Pogba goals and assists along with his other talents in the middle of the park could well just make the difference to us finishing top of the league.
I know stats are pointless but i wasn't trying to use them to prove any point.
I think if the players Mourinho has added preform to there expected level along with what we already have, i don't think we will be that far away and Pogba could just end up making the difference.
Barkley's goals and assist mean nothing when his team can't defend and the only other goals in that team come from a striker.
Bottom line is Pogba is better than what we currently have and can offer a genuine goal threat from midfield, something that's hard to find.
Not going to explain the milner comparison as that's pointless.
As for Ozil, looks like if Arsenal can start to defend properly and get a top quality striker then they might do well too but as both those elements were missing from there team they won nothing not because Ozil got 6 and 19.
