We need to talk about Marcus. I am seeing lots of formations on here for the front four and his name is often missing. He was a revelation last year and showed in his cameo at the Euros how much potential he has. If he is kept out of the team by a 34 year old on his last legs or a Captain whose best days are long gone I will be somewhat, nay greatly dismayed. Many people on here seem thane relegated him to a sub now "he'll still get games" kind of approach. I'm bemused, shocked, and ever so slightly perturbed. This by will be a big star and very soon.

AJH i agree that he needs games but he doesn't need loads of games this year.
I am sure he will push his way in as Ibrahimovic is only here for a year.

He doesn't need to be playing every single game at his age.
There are always injuries, suspentions, loss of form and players being rested. He will get games I believe.
If it was the other way and he was our main man people would be saying it's too much pressure on his young shoulders.
Also Zlatan is only here 1 year. Great guy to learn from. He will be fine, and will be a big star for us in the future I believe.

I'd like to see him playing on the right of a front three with Martial and Rooney or Zlatan in the middle. Use the centre man to link with midfield and the other two to get in behind or down the line.
I don't want to see him dropped unless his form warrants it, Rooney and Zlatan are the ones that need to prove they're good enough to start in the opening weeks as far as I'm concerned.

I just hope he gets the sufficient game time he deserves because the way he's played and improved already just goes to show what a talent he is!

Could be used upfront with ibra against the smaller teams with micky and martial ln the wings. Ibra dropping off and rashford running in behind.

I think ashford and martial will be our standard starters as the season goes on especially towards the end of the season. I do not believe rooney or Ibra will be with united past their current contracts and just past of a team changing its shape and personality of a much younger team. I still think depay will flop and be gone next season.

I agree xfiles we will have options up front which is something we have been missing
I don't thing any of them will start more than 30 games in a 50 to 55 game season and its the sane in every club.
City fans will not moan if they sign Sane on top of De bruyne sterling and nolito.
I can't believe people would be moaning or worried that we have too much quality to choose from.
Last year we had Rooney in midfield at least we won't be subjected to that.

Ken, Jose had my full backing, I wasn't questioning him at all. I was pointing out posters on here have quickly forgotten about Rashford.
I'm genuinely looking forward to see how he sets us up, he is well known for improving players; if he can do that to Mike, Herrera, even Fellaini (😰) and some of our talented youngsters then we will have some team.

Last year we were complaining about how thin the squad was, 3 signings later and we have too many players even though we've let a few go?
I do hope Rashford, Pereira, Depay and Martial all get a good amount of game time. At the end of the day Jose will choose who plays depending on what formation he wants to play, who our opponents are, performance in training and form in matches.
If Marcus is back up to IBRA for one season I would be OK with that. He is a huge talent but he still has a lot to learn.

I would not be surprised if we see at times a front 4 of martial, zlatan, Rashford and Micky.
Mourinho will not allow for under performing players to block the youngsters.
This could be a good year for also Pereira and dare I say it Januzai.

I am excited by our squad and attacking options for the first time in 3 years.
I hope we sign you know who and strengthen our midfield options too with real quality.
Miki was top assist maker in Germany you know who was top assist maker in Italy so we are also looking at players to feed the likes of rashford and ibra.

I was just saying Ibrahimovic is only here for a year and Rashford will. get enough games ymthis year.
Next year Rashford and Martial will be ready for the number one spot and would have gained enough top level experience in the premier league by then.
