I fear for you. The rest of this site are preparing their pitchforks as we speak.

Have to remember Pogba is much younger and should only get better but I do agree that Kroos is a great player. Schweinsteiger is having a very impressive game so far though especially as he has been out for so long. International football suits him much more than the kick and rush of the Premier League. and maybe for the same reason Pogba would be better suited than Kroos who is less physical. Anyway if reports are to be believed Kroos may end up at City.

07 Jul 2016 21:35:31
Same here jred. But I must admit either would be a fantastic improvement.

07 Jul 2016 21:39:50
I've never seen Pogba and thought he was the best player on the pitch like I have with a Bale, Ronaldo, Kroos, Griezman, Rooney (! ) to name just a few. I just can't see why he is valued so highly.

07 Jul 2016 21:40:10
I thought Kris was better.

07 Jul 2016 21:58:18
I've not been a fan of Kroos, but the way he ghosted past players tonight was impressive. Always thought his lack of pace would be a major issue for a quick Utd, however he showed he can accelerate well. No doubt he is class on the ball.

That Griezmann is a class above, shame he just signed a new deal.

07 Jul 2016 21:59:34
I think Kroos is so overrated myself mate.

07 Jul 2016 22:03:15
Ajh
He is a good player pogs but its not often he is the best on the pitch the hype around him is nuts.
More a 10 imo but griezmann is a better player . If i was going throw daft money at a player it would be him.

07 Jul 2016 22:11:19
Kroos was fantastic tonight. Griezman was fantastic yet again. Lloris was also in top form.

07 Jul 2016 23:11:28
They are really different players in my opinion.

07 Jul 2016 23:19:46
It seems the players worth throwing money at, don't seem to want to leave there clubs and the one that does want to leave, prefers Real Madrid.

Griezmann is phenomenal, i was wishing we was going to make him our RW, CAM. But with all the fire power up top now, i doubt it unless next season we went in for him after Zlatan.

Kroos, is a no go as we aren't interested in him any more according to Ed002 but he is a little gem of a player. Tbh i don't understand why Real want to sell when he links well with all the players a specially him and Modric compliment each other in a weird way.

Veratti would only leave for Spain and maybe Italy. Neymar has signed a new contract. Matuidi was poor today, tbh he shouldn't even be a back up to Pogba because they are 2 different types of players. Passing was terrible and pressured into making errors.

Kante seems to be destined for either London or PSG. We are all expecting the impossible and if he chooses Madrid, there is only a few players who could get that kindve excitement and certainty to the club!

Please United, make sure you outbid Madrid!

Cr92
You would be surprised who is available when u start talking pogba money.

08 Jul 2016 08:35:25
He's a beast, a complete midfielder who will only get better, but I really hope we don't sign Paul Pogba.

Firstly, range of reports seem to confirm that he has his heart set on moving to Madrid. The only reason he would come to OT is for the money. Forget sentimentality about enjoying his time here previously and wanting to continue where he left off, it's all about the cash. Do we really want this mercenary attitude?

Secondly, you can begrudgingly understand why he wants Real. They are CL winners, have a proven record in all competitions, pay lots of money and have a French legend at the helm. If he joined United, then will his heart be in it? Will he really want to bust a gut for the badge? Or will he just bide his time, line his pockets for a couple of years, then move to Real when in his prime? Another Di Maria surely? We'll lose lots of money as he'll agitate for a move towards the end of his contract and go for a cut price fee to avoid losing him for nothing.

Thirdly, and most importantly, I believe him and his greedy agent will bring a toxic attitude to OT and influence the other players. He only left OT in the first place because he was influenced by his avaricious agent - SAF admits as much in his book. Do people REALLY believe that he'd come here just for football reasons to try to make us great again? Rather naive I'm afraid - his agent has pound signs in his eyes and is guiding his client accordingly. Please correct me if I'm wrong about my feelings about his agent - he might genuinely have his client's career in mind and not just where to get the next payday.

Another reason is that Pogba is a box to box MF, not the DM midfielder we need, such as a Kante, Matuidi or Matic, to complement Schneiderlin (who works best with a DCM, such as Wanyama) . We need the anchor at the base of midfield who will allow the Micky, Martial and Zllatan to do their thing in front of goal. If we have two B2B midfielders, then surely they'll clash or leave space behind them (unless they rotate) which won't be good for a developing defensive pairing. I'd love to see Schneiderlin and Kante/ Matic/ Matuidi in CM instead, with Carrick and the big German as back up.

Thus please forgive any inaccuracies, prejudices or poor judgements in the above but I strongly feel that we should NOT entice Pogba to United. His heart is elsewhere, his agent is just looking for the next big payday, we can more for the money elsewhere and I don't believe he'll fit the existing system (unless Jose intends to change it all - and he's the experienced CL winning coach, not some armchair critic like me)

However, whatever happens, cannot wait for new season to start as genuinely think we could win it this year: it'll either be us or City, depending on who else they sign and how quickly they gel together - Stones/ Kroos/ Sane will be excellent signings. So pleased that Jose has finally arrived and is bringing in new talent and will hopefully reinvigorate existing players such as Depay, Darmian, Bastian, Rooney and Schneiderlin - not to mention The Zlatan!

I wonder if Utd / Mourinho are playing poker with Madrid.
We offer £100m knowing a) Madrid wanted him and vice versa and b) Madrid can't afford that much.
So the possible results,
- United get Pogba (one of the most dynamic, young midfielders in the world) and put one over on Madrid - can't afford to buy who ever they like anymore (no more state support) .
Or.
- Madrid over extend themselves (dangerous for the club long term) buy Pogba, but have to sell multiple assets to make the £100m. Sacrificing the overall quality offer squad.

Sounds like Mourinho to me. Almost a win/ win for Utd?

@Wallace we already signed 2 of his players in The Zlatan and Miki, Mino's influence is already there. : (
