Just reading all the news of a massive Pogba deal. I know some might disagree here but i hope its not true and club uses some common sense. You can build great teams without doing this stuff and spend that kind of money on more than one player that comes with some baggage and history.
We already have one that is a hot topic all the time and very divided fans opinion.
C'mon Madrid please buy him lol:)

Shahram, I've just outset about the evolving door and I agree. Look at Leicester and Wales, great team spirit, great organisation, inspirational leadership. It may be exciting but spending all the money guarantees nothing.

I will make a prediction now. If we were to sign Pogba, he will be here less then 3 years, and we will make a HUGE loss on him when he goes to one of Madrid or Barca.
We should have learned our lesson with DiMaria. Being stupid enough to pay more than anyone else only leads to one thing.
Disappointment.

I agree and the worst of it we will end up selling him for a massive loss. He is not worth the money as he is not a dominant midfielder who orchestrates play or just bosses the physical side. He is more of an attacking mid with size but not great defensively.
He is in the shop window every year by his agent since he was 19 and creates a lot of distraction. Players like Hamsik at a fraction of his cost are just as good offensively and will appreciate the opportunity of playing for a club like united.
People love names and there is not one person here who can actually point out with facts that he is the best midfielder at his current club or at the national team level.
I think Greizeman is worth a lot more and close what they value him than Pogba.
I thought up to now it was all bs but when you get a couple of reputable papers reporting it, it seems like there is something to it.

Paying over the odds for a player we sold for virtually nothing would be stupid. His motives seem to be financially motivated and all talk is he wants to play in Spain. Personally I think we should look elsewhere for a player that 100% wants to join the club and doesn't have as big an ego. No doubting pogba ability wise but I feel he's overrated and overpriced and we can get an alternative who maybe isn't as talented but has more desire to play for the club and is more concerned about the team than himself. Who that is I don't know? Not hugely impressed with Mario, carvalho or gomes. Saul niquez is unlikely to move and whilst I do like kroos I'm not sure he'd suit us or the premier league. I felt at the time sanches would've been a terrific signing but somehow that deal slipped away.

Say we make a £20/ 30 million loss on Pogba but he is terrific for 2/ 3 years, do you still sign him? I would.
He's head and shoulders above any of our current midfield and he's great to watch.

leicester did well last year but iwould be surprised if they trouble the top 4 this coming season. you will not get another season like last year where all the big teams performed badly, expect normal service to resume this season driven by the chq book and better quality managers.

Who is better Kante or Pogba, watch France tonight and feel free to tell me who is more influential and a bigger miss for that team. I cannot fathom why one is valued 3 times the other one with one year apart in age.

There are other players at a fraction of the cost that can also be terrific without the circus act that comes with them. He got benched for France earlier in the tournament and Matuidi and Kante were ahead of him in the pecking order. 100 million Pound players are franchise players like Messi and Ronaldo and not someone who is hit and miss and some games great and some quite poor.

I don't believe we will have normal service and it will be very tight with many teams in it. Don't count out the likes of West Ham, Everton or even Leicester depending on what they do in transfers and if they can keep the core of their best players. All the new managers will need bedding in given the short time frame they will have of working with completely new squads and players.

Ive always found the pogba situation strange good player but the hype around him is nuts .

I agree with that and i think fans would change there minds on him if they watched a lot of him .
That said he has potential to be a top player but he is not there yet.
He seems to of been promoted very well by his agent and the price seems to be 50% for him as a player and 50% hype imo.

Kante and pogba are totally different players playing in different positions.
Pogba will be great at United but the money quoted is ridiculous. If we sign Micky then I would rather buy Kante to win the ball back.

If we sign him which I still think is a big if, I think he'll be superb. Yes we could sign 2/ 3 players who could make a difference to our starting 11, which I've said before is the better option. Nevertheless, it doesn't make me not want Pogba here.
Who's to say we won't sign Pogba then go and spend another £50/ 60 million anyway? If Jose wants him and thinks that it is worth paying the probably world record fee then I'm ok with it.
