My views on Pogba have been well documente; lots of potential but far more hype and a price that do not reflect his inconsistency.
However, if Jose wants him then he must see something in him. Remember that most players who played under Jose say he made them a better player. If he can do that with Pogba we will have some player.
Assuming he signs along with Micky that means we have strengthened 4 positions. Anybody else will be a bonus.

fully agreed ajh, I too believe pogba is overpriced but if we sign him then I would be happy if he too wants to be here but hope it won't be ADM-2 where he doesn't fully want to be here.
Still a cb won't go a miss though ajh and maybe Micky 'lacks pace and will get found out' and we shouldn't sign him lol.

I think with them 4 we would challenge next season even if we signed nobody else. I like Pogba, he isn't worth that, but no player is 'worth' what teams pay for them these days. We complained when we spent years not spending the money and people complained about the Glazers, we can't complain if we pay the asking the price for players that we want, I would rather our money went on players than debt.
Shaw will be like a new signing as well hopefully, Rashford, Martial, CBJ, TFM have had a taste, won the cup and will be a year older, DDG is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, we have players who played relatively poorly under LVG who will hopefully improve under Jose (Memphis, Herrera, Schneiderlin, Darmian) . We have the making of a great squad, and now we have a great manager, if we don't get top 4 next season then something has gone seriously wrong!

Fair point, just feel that Neuer is just as good every time I see him play, although has much less to do for club and country.

If he moves for £90M he's worth £90M. His worth is dictated by what the market will hold. Saying he's not worth it confuses me. That's exactly what he's worth because that's what people are willing to pay. It's like saying a computer game isn't worth £50. Yes it is, and it will be as long as people are willing to pay that amount for it. Whether you think that's the way it *should* be is another matter entirely.

Im reading these posts above just minutes after reading Watford have turned down 37,5 million quid from China for Inghalo . their striker (spelling) and in the week they turned down 25 million from leicester for troy deeney, and after seeing Crystal Palace signed Andros Townsend this morning for 14 million. prices are nuts, and tbh we are part of all that you either pay what the seller wants or you miss out . for better or for worse - I've stopped questioning it now its insane . but if Bacelona says Messi can go for 200 million tomorrow there would be 4-5 clubs in for him including us no doubt about it, so what can we say about Pogbas fee?
{Ed004's Note - It puts getting Zlatan and Mkhitaryan for a combined fee of 30 million into perspective doesn't it? On another note, I wonder if the Chinese have heard of this wonder striker called Rooney...}

GDS it isn't the way u are saying either, odion ighalo allegedly got a bid rejected for 38mn, leicester put in a 25mn bid troy deeney Chelsea are buying a belgian kid who is below likes of lukaku and origi for 33mn. I don't know what pogba is worth but as rwwd puts it, someone is worth what u r willing to pay for him, pogba isn't worth 100mn or whatever we might be offering but then none of the above are, right now the transfer market has gone crazy, every one's paying obscene fees, we want the best ones available we have to pay the given fees.

Price is what you pay, worth is what you get. You guys should remember that ;-) I understand fans saying that if a club is willing to pay it then he's worth it, but I don't subscribe to that belief. Worth is the value you get out of the acquisition.

Seriously if a player costs 1m and is what you need and fits the criteria required by the coach then that's value. But likewise if he costs 83m and has the desired impact then that's value.
Imo pogba is a perfect fit in terms of what he does and how he plays. If he is instrumental in bringing back the league title it will be money well spent.
He might not be here for 10 years but neither was Ronaldo I doubt martial will be so if we get him let's hope he helps bring success while he is here and we Get our money back if we have to sell him.

Yes GDS, I wouldn't mind that, as long as the Club is paying it for me. I honestly sometimes doubt the smartness of people when they start talking about the market valuation of a player as if they would themselves have to skip meals to pay for him. For gods sake, its not your money. If the club has it, they will pay. In the end it comes down to the club and the manager. If they think he is worth that money and is required, then so be it.
I am pretty sure none of your salaries were cut by your bosses when Di Maria transfer was screwed.
