There are a few ways to look at the Pogba situation. The first is that he is a talented but massively over priced player that hasn't done nearly enough in his career to justify a world record fee. (neither had Bale) .
The second being that he would massively improve us and that we should go all out to buy him. Don't just shoot me down though let me explain. Say we buy him for £80m the truth is we have over paid. But if he stays and we have him for 10 years then £8m p/ year doesn't sound too bad for a player who could help us reach the top again. Alternatively if he goes to Madrid in 3 years we will get our money back or lose a little bit, in effect he would then be cheaper than Falcao's loan.
He is a player with huge potential who has won the league 4 times in 4 years so he knows what winning feels like. He is inconsistent but that will iron out over time and he is by far better than what we have here. At the end of the day it is non of our money. The club is rich enough and Ed is dumb enough to afford him. He has time/ a sell on fee and is less of a risk than people make out.
The biggest thing I hear people say is why don't we buy Kante and Payet for that money or Kroos and Varane? Could it not be that non of these players want to leave their clubs and wouldn't be as cheap as we seem to think.
United are rich enough to buy any player in the world but as life is not Fifa, you can only sign the players available to you. In this case Pogba may just be the best player available. Add to him Mkhiytaryan, Ibra and Bailly plus one other and our team will look like title challengers.

I wouldn't touch him if he wants Madrid in 3years. If you pay that much for someone you want to build your team around him and you can't do that if there going to leave. Great player would love him at Utd but would sooner get a player that really wants to come and play for us and will do anything to do so.
