Seeing as it would take a ridiculous amount to sign Pogba, I'd rather we'd and hope that we spend our money more wisely.

I'd like to see another two CBs bought. Smalling is a good player but not a top player. He tends to have a poor concentration span and doesn't have the ability to compensate for it, let alone command the defence. To move on and challenge for the league we need a solid CB pairing, who are good on the ball.
Perhaps I'm being abit harsh on Smalling as his ability to pull the oppositions shirts and not get booked is second to none.

I agree. Let Smalling go into wrestling - the sport he is good at. We will never know if he is any good at football as he seldom shows any interest in the ball especially in aerial challenges. The main reason the opposition get possession and he becomes a bystander.

I can't believe the stick smalling is getting on here. Fair enough he might not be that good but at least he's improved in the past year.
We have numerous cases of players whos careers have gone backwards or at best stagnated.

Aerial challenges are one of Smalling's strong points so I don't really understand that one, so many games last year when we were holding on and his defensive headers were a huge asset.
Its Mkhitaryan, but maybe we should stick to Micky or Henrikh if people are struggling. After the Sneidjer debacle it might be best if he has a nickname, or a Mikhname.

Smalling is a very good defnder and for this who like to always rag on him, show me one defender including the great italian guys who don't push, hold and do everything under the sun.
I will bet everything he will be a main stay in the first 11 of jose.
