I am full of red wine yet reading the supposed Pogba rumour story tonight I saw a photo of the young Pogba, Lingard and Ravel Morrison. When we look at players like Pogba, now potentially worth £80m, I was reminded of the supreme skill Ravel had but just lacked the mental attitude.
I wonder what Ravel will do with that talent now, where he will end up, which non league club will pay him a few quid to turn out in a league that is so far below where he is capable of being. Talent is only one part of the equation and that photo I saw today represents the gulf in mental attitude. I recall playing with an unbelievable talent about 30 years ago, he was 12, beating adults for fun. I wrote to SAF about him, however he ended up on the scrap heap because he couldn't focus the talent, more intent on wasting than training.
When we look at who arrives this summer pay a thought to Ravel Morrison, a talent unfulfilled, that should be a key part of our team driving it forward and that photo will be a reminder for years to come. Pogba needs to look at that and focus the talent he has.

I'd say every local pub up and down the land there are stories of the one lad who could have made it. Ravel had it all on the pitch but had none of the required mental attributes off it. I remember arguing with Rainfish about him a lot. The lad was given more chances to turn the corner after some serious crimes but alas, he couldn't conquer his demons. Won't be the first and certainly won't be the last.

Attitude turns mediocre players into good players. Good players into great players and great players into world class players. That's why I think the youth aren't as good in England as opposed to the other European leagues. The path is too clear for them. They aren't tested mentally enough. Before you've played a professional game you could be earning thousands a week.

I know Lingard isn't everyone's cup of tea but it's nice to see hard work paying off, even if his future is away from us.

Ravel had all the talent in the world horrible mentality. Jesse had the right mentality and not the talent. Pogba had the talent and that cocky mentality. Its a shame because the most talented is usally the one with attitude problems. A case of if only.

The pogba story and us being linked is all bs IMO. it is all about justifying what madrid will end up paying for him.

Jose wanted him at chelsea.
United seem desperate to sign a superstar.
We might not get him but I think we might be interested.

I don't believe we will spend any serious money on anyone and marquee signings, its not jose style to break transfer records for any player. I think the story started form Marca and it always smells like a real pR story and they will spend crazy money on this guy most likely. Is bale aorta 100 million or Rodrigues 80 million euros?

I think you can build championship winning teams without spending crazy money on a single player.

I would be guessing on Pogba but if by making Madrid pay through the nose for him it means they have to raise money from a major sale then that could be our strategy. If they need to raise £90m then is the thinking that we will give them that for Bale? I wouldn't want James, too slow for me, Varane perhaps but as well as Bailly? Is Bale our target or are we really getting Pogba?

{Ed002's Note - Nonsense. The reason that Madrid has concerns is nothing whatsoever to do with Manchester United or any other players.}
