Another Rooney debate on at the others page. Intriguing.
Just because its Rooney. How have the Spanish performed with the great Iniesta dictating the play. Why is it that its always Wayne who has to be blamed? Against the Slovaks, Rooney was so poor on the bench and that's the reason we could only draw. I think there are others who face the blame before Rooney comes into picture. Kane? Sterling? Atleast England have mustered the most number of shots in the tourney thus far (as I have read) .
Congrats to the Welsh and the Oirish mates on here for qualifying through to the next round.

Its always about rooney the other players don't count.
Rooney can be the best player on the pitch but will still get stick for not being even better.

So our most inflential player. But this is rooney that's not good enough he has to be even better and forget the other 10 players on the pitch .
How have we performed? Well our midfield has played well controled possesion in every game and created chances . Our forward line has done little, kane for example a player who people want to buy fir 80 mil has been shocking .
Eg if kane had of hit top form its a different story.
Our defense hasn't even been tested due to fact the other team haven't got the ball .
Your right its just because its rooney, playing well isn't enough.

The final ball was very poor dier although played well covering his final ball was either over hit or to the other side but the rest were just as bad.

People judge Rooney on what he could have been rather than what he is. Seems unfair to me like him or hate him he is still England's top scorer still a few goals behind uniteds record and he seems to be doing a great job transforming into a midfielder from a forward. I hate the term world class but Rooney is a fantastic footballer I for one feel that it's better to have him playing for our club than against us. English fans are just spoilt my country's best player is Wanyama we would kill to get a Rooney in our national team

Most guys just look at the negatives jred in the fa cup final the equalizer was all Rooney he took out 5-6 Palace players with a marvelous run his desire is unmatched whether playing for United or England. I can't remember exactly who but a lot of players we drool over have been asked which player they dream of playing with and they said Rooney. Oh captain my captain.

I'm sorry guys but I don't see what Wayne offers United up top or from midfield, he works hard I'll give him that, he has drive but the quality is lacking, I don't watch England but from what I've heard England were poorer for him coming on. Great servant he has been, unplayable a few years back, but at this present time he is there cz if his name only, United and England can move forward by phasing him out. Just my opinion and I appreciate everyone else's, I'm thankful for what he's done for my club but there is a reason Fergie wanted to unload him and he was the master of offloading players at the right time.

Rooney might well be the only player in the history of football who is judged on what could have been rather than what he is. God help us all.
God willing if we do sign Zlatan, people would slate him for god only knows what all. And still it would be Rooney's fault after all.

I watch Rooney for enough United to give an opinion, I've many England supporting friends who say similar of his performances for them.
I think it's hard to judge any of the players you mention under LVG tbh, restricted as they were, I just see for club and country they must somehow fit Rooney in even if detrimental to the teams.
As I say just my opinion and I value your guys ones too, don't dispute what he's done in the past for United and England I just think if he's a striker there's better around if he's a midfielder there's much better around for club and country, the time to move him on was 2012/ 13, he's here to stay so I hope he does well under Jose but I feel we could upgrade from him now. Anyway another Rooney debate, just what the page needs 😂.

I am an england fan and rooney has been one of our better players .
Ali and wilshere defo behind him .
Dier been good and henderson had a decent game .
You may of missed it but he is not a striker at the moment .
As for better cm, not for england or united . Playing in cm he has been one of englands and uniteds better cm imo.

No obvs I've not missed it, as I said he's no midfielder in my eyes and we need better at club level and I'm sure there are better options than him out there in MF to move the club forward.
In your opinion yes, as I said a couple times I appreciate others opinions, just I have a different one to yours and plenty of others I'm sure, for England he can perform as poorly as he likes I'm not bothered 😂.
