Was reading an article about who we should go for in CM out of Veratti and Kante and could not help reading the pros/ cons thinking we could do with both.
Would be our new Scholes and Keane. High energy, annoying and great going forward.

Brad, I think Verrati will be overpriced and tbh he hasn't featured a lot in PSG since Jan. would be a great move, and cheaper. Hope we see another excellent display from him tonite.
Would be happy with, kante, Mkhitaryan, Manolas and another forward not counting Zlatan as IF he comes it will be short term only. With Bailey and what we have I think JM could form a title challenging squad, without spending stupid amounts. Probably the 1st 3 mentioned would cost around the same as verrati as well.

Agree on the valuation of Veratti plus I doubt PSG would sell unless they really are looking to go for Pogba.
However he really does remind me of Scholes and I would love someone like that at the minute.
Kante would be great as his workrate is unbelievable.
I really feel that we will be organised much better next year (square pegs in Square holes) . The players you mention would give us a good group to choose from.

Agree. Really optimistic on the coming season and hopefully being involved in the mix more realistically as well as top 4 finish minimum will serve as a better standing to finish the rebuild.

Both would give us the best midfield option in the epl imo.
I would take either or both above anybody else available.
I have not seen enough of Gomez but I'm not convinced by him by what I have seen. No doubting he has good ability but without being able to put my finger on it exactly i feel he is missing something. He would need a very dominant player alongside him.
Mhk from Dortmund is a player I am convinced by and think he would be a great buy.
Not withstanding the euros are in full swing I'm still amazed that the press don't seem to have any info on who are main targets are but I'm sure Jose has his plan.
{Ed004's Note - A midfield of Kante and Verratti would be the best in the league by a mile and depending on the 3rd player would be one of the best in the world. However, I do not think Verratti is possible or if we have even looked a Kante unfortunately. Them 2 along with Bailly, Mkhitarian and Ibrahimovic would be some summer.}

I don't think so. Ed002 doesn't think so. Psg don't think so. So I doubt it unfortunately.
004 I think it could be the psg midfield next season.

Unfortunately I think you guys are right. However we have seen other teams (Monaco/ chelsea/ city) splash out on big players in there dry periods so I am living in hope. foolishly.

I don't think there is any doubt about us splashing out especially recently. But some people are not attainable. Greizman Godin etc but its not about splashing out for me its about getting the right people to deliver the plan.

Agree Ken. Not talking about a statement player for the sakeep of it (Mata. love him just was an odd one at the time) . However certain players are the right ones. regardless of cost (high or low)

I still think that we need to address out defence first. Once we have a solid base we can free the midfield to do damage to our opposition. I still want a domineering centre half.
