Am I the only one who isn't that bothered that Aubemeyang is signing for City?

They have Gundogan wrapped up, but who is to say he won't have another year I the side lines.

Aubemeyang is a decent player who has appeared this season really. I don't think he is anywhere near as good as people make him out to be and am not concerned at the prospect of him being at City.

I think he is a good player and will get goals, be interesting to see where pep plays him.

Im not bothered because we can't sign everyone and with no champions league football some targets may be missed out on. Also with jose mourinho i'm confident that he can put a system together to have us challenging.

But aubameyang is a quality player who scored 36 goals last season and being fed by kevin de bruyne he won't be short of chances at city if he joins.

City are going a long way to refreshing the spine of their team with laporte, gundogan and aubameyang coming potentially. Quality players at the perfect age to progress their careers.

We will be doing the same but it depends if a lack of cl football will hinder us dramatically.

Its a interesting signing for them. They arguably have one of the best strikers already and a prospect in inheanacho. yet they still go out and spend big to get another competitive player. You could argue all 3 of those will likely get 15 goals each next season.

hopefully martial rashford and zlatan assuming he signs can do the same.

07 Jun 2016 21:41:22
Do we believe Rashford is the real deal? So many on here spent months telling us Mourinho would abandon our youth, yet, if this is true and it is still an if, then not buying a centre forward like Aubameyang could be showing a lot of trust in Rashford.

I think Zlatan will be a great signing IF we believe Radhford has got it. It is a potential Cantona moment and still gives the youth like Marcus room to grow. Tell me how Ineacho feels at City if they buy Aubameyang? I would have bought Aubameyang a few months ago, yet now a talent has emerged suddenly and we have to give Rashford a chance.

Not too bothered for 75 mill city can have him. would be pissed of if we went for him for that kind of money.

07 Jun 2016 21:58:33
I think its reported 55 mil still a lot of cash .
That said, he can play right across the front 3 has real pace, scores goals and is a big lad . Should do well in the epl.

How bitter are you guys? Now who's the bitter neighbours? But then again Schweinsteiger did turn you into a real champion force last season, like you told me he was going to.

Red man
Thats the other side of the coin to getting zlatan if he comes in and flops and rashford doesn't kick on were left abit short. Sir alex used to say have 4 strikers. You could say atm we have 1.

07 Jun 2016 22:33:50
They're bringing in some top quality players. Will be difficult to keep up with them at this rate.

07 Jun 2016 22:35:51
I doubt Rashford will play much at all next season. Europa League and cups.

07 Jun 2016 23:12:53
Ah come on Beast be optimistic, he could score a double hat trick against City, winning us the title on goal difference by 1.karma.

07 Jun 2016 23:15:07
W16wes - That was when we used to play with 2 out and out strikers which we haven't done for some time.

Having four top quality strikers for one spot would be ridiculous and inevitably lead to those not getting game time to want to move elsewhere.

Martial, Rashford and Zlat should be more than enough (although if the intention is for Martial to stay out wide I wouldn't mind a right winger that could also play centrally if needed) .

Little red did you notice he has never mentioned the little club you support as a likely destination you should be worried about everton they are going to be the big side on merseyside.

07 Jun 2016 23:36:30
Anything above £50m and I would turn him down although I think he'd be devastating in the premier league with his pace and his finishing ability. There's other players out there that could have that same impact and be better value although every transfer could flop or go better than expected. I would rather go after Icardi, Dybala, lukaku or berardi. I'd even be tempted to put marital up top and bring in Griezmann, sane, mahrez or mane, hoping for an interchangable front 4 unless a bigger striker like lukaku is signed who obviously would then be the vocal point of the attack with three behind him.

08 Jun 2016 06:29:06
Tiny Reds you guys are hilarious you are about to lose your best player yet you worry about Manchester what happens when you come tenth next season.

08 Jun 2016 15:21:17
Mighty red

How are we bitter? he is not worth the transfer fee like sterling was never worth it. I want neither and hope city bludgeon themselves and get him for a silly cost. You should know about paying stupid money for players more than anyone else mate. Liverpool are the Masters of it.

You can buy a good striker for half the cost and not get much of a difference.
