My dad died in 92 so he never got to saw our tremendous 20 year run under Fergie. And equally I never saw Best play either. But my dad's tales about him were just pure joy to listen to.
I honestly think we have been blessed with 2 footballing Gods at United. Best and Cantona. And both finished their careers way too early.

If he could be coached into maintaining the kind of performances that he produced between 2005 and 2007 for the duration of his career - it would be Ronaldinho hands down. As Brazilians seem to struggle when it comes to long term form and fitness and looking at the state of our current squad however - I'm going to go with a CB. Probably Jaap or Nemanja.

Gazza, hugely talented player that SAF almost signed. Think he could have been right up there with the Maradonnas, Messis and Ronaldos if he had been nurtured the way Giggs, Scholes et Al were.

We need a real leader on the pitch, so whilst I could say Best, Ronaldo, Edwards, Messi, etc I think we need Roy Keane, the late 1990's version. What he did at Juventus 99 was just remarkable. I saw Bryan Robsons whole career at United and he was another leader, a leader by example, however for me Keane didn't just lead by example he galvanised the whole team, demanded more. Roy Keane for me.
