Rashford has SO FAR done nothing that shows that he can't start every game for us. He may have bad games like any other player. Nothing so far.

He is a kid and can't play every game or it will take its toll long term. He has to be treated right now or he could burn it like Owen or lee sharpe and keep getting injured in his mid 20s very few played from age of 18 even scholes Beckham Neville butt etc were phased into regular football they were 20 plus before they were starting every game And the game is even more physically demanding now than it was then.
There are exceptions obviously Rooney but he looks knackered at 30 giggs was able.
That's why I want zlatan or another striker. To help get the best out of rashford in the short medium and long term but some people just look at the Here and now and can't see past the nose on the end of their face.
We might have a great talent on our hands so it is up to those in charge to ensure we look after that Tashkent not abuse it.

Ibra won't be able to play every game, not at his age and in a more physical league, and Rashford should get a good amount of game time witbout the pressure of being relied on to be our main goalscorer. He might learn a lot from Ibra too.
Plus Ibra will be with us for a year, maybe two with him gradually phasing out in the second year, so he won't be blocking Rashford and Martial's way for years to come like a younger striker would.
I agree Rashford could probably handle it now, but it's a risk. Bringing in Ibra cuts the risk, and shouldn't slow his development, at least not by much.

Ken so what about when a player isn't in the first team at 18 he is still playing games .
Or on loan like wilson they will be playing week in week out .

I'm not disputing he is good enough but he is still a kid and should not be playing 50 plus senior games at his age. It rarely has long term benifit. His body is still developing at his age. He needs to be treated with care. 20 to 25 starts plus substitute appearances would be the best way imo for him next season
If we play 1 up top which is generally the way Jose plays you want martial to be the main striker you have said so on many occasions so if you want martial to play as striker where would you propose rashford plays?

I agree with ken as the English game takes a toll on a player who is fast tracked from an early age eg. Owen Rooney even Torres to an extent, I could possibly put Evra in there as in his last two seasons with us looked a player who was constantly struggling but put him in a less demanding league looks great again. In international tournaments England in my opinion always look tired and mentally weak. The argument regarding martial is I personally don't see him spending his entire career here, i'd love him to but don't think it'll happen.
