So we have all been on here saying the club should sack LVG, there are now rumours that we are going to and I am seeing posts saying the club are a joke? I don't get it at all.

What you have to realise is that the press have been searching and searching for an answer to the Mourinho questions, they have been printing it for months, they need it to be true, so any sniff of it happening, whatever that timing may be and they were over all it like a rash. United could not do this in private, journalists are following around Woodward, LVG, Mourinho and Mendes at all times asking questions and sneaking on meetings, it was always going to be utterly impossible to keep any deal a secret, it comes with us being the biggest club in the world and the one that sells the most papers etc.

Look at sky sports, 'Mourinho to United LIVE', they have just put the same stories for 2 days as they have nothing new, but it is at the top of their biggest stories list. Manchester United sells, Jose Mourinho sells, putting them together and it was never going to be a secret, people complain about the media circus around Mourinho, but we already have one and always will do, we might as well have a manager who knows exactly how to handle it.

Fantastic weekend winning the cup and I would say 99% of us are getting what we want with LVG leaving, we lost our identity, we scored 9 less goals than any other season in the premier league and we passed it sideways and backwards all season like the more you did that the more points you got. I am looking forward to a Manchester United team with an identity, some fight and an us against them mentality. It might be a bumpy ride, but I would take bumpy over sideways and backwards every day of the week.

Agreed gds2,a bumpy ride is better than a boring ride, even the media have picked all the players he is going to sign. they have our money well spent.

GDS, I think we're all happy he's going but for the news to break 10 minutes after winning the cup was unnecessarily crass and doesn't reflect well on us. He will have seen endless TV reports without apparently being told about his future. I would have hoped we were better than that.

23 May 2016 11:02:37
Like I said on the Other Post's page, GDS, just because we don't want him as out manager any more, doesn't mean we have to be d1cks about it. There's a way of doing things, and between Moyes and LVG, Utd have failed miserably in that regard.

23 May 2016 11:25:50
Why do we all suddenly care about him though? We didn't sack him on Saturday or 10 minutes after, we sacked him today, which is what everybody wanted!

23 May 2016 11:33:25
Agreed gds. The sooner the better. Ajh, the press are dying to put out stories about us and couldn't wait for the fa cup to be over to put these stories out. They are scum and we have to realize that neither United nor Mourinho said anything to this day.
The press love United as we're a media circus as far as they're concerned. It's what sells papers unfortunately and we have to live with it.

It's called empathy for misfortune befalling another human being. No need to gloat over someone's demise, á la Fresh and others.

Whether we thought he was a good manager or not.

And I didn't.
