Anyone else getting a bit annoyed with Lingard? His movement and ability to carry the ball is decent, but his end product has been shocking and he no longer justifies his place in the starting lineup.
Also he just seems to be a bit of a bell-end with his social media antics (West Ham bus) and that ridiculous dance after scoring a goal every 20 matches.

I agree but lingard is fortunate that no one is really there to take his spot. Depays final ball is no better at the moment, pereira and janujaz aren't in lvgs good books. Young and valencia are now primarily considered full back options.

He should start on saturday as his link up play was very good last time out at wembley.

He's a decent player but reminds abit of PJSung when it comes to finishing. He's worth preserving for another or two. You have to remember that this is his first season the the EPL.

He definitely needs to work on becoming more consistent. Time will tell.

He works very hard, and yes his finishing is frustrating but it will only improve. One of the senior players should probably have a word about social media with him but why are you having a go at him for the way he celebrates? Plenty of players have worse celebrations, Robbie keanes was a bit tragic and nani's was downright stupid he could have injured himself doing them flips.

A decent squad player, definitely not a starter, he reminds me of Kieran Richardson in talent when he broke through United, bit overhyped tbh.

I think it's more a case of him just lacking that quality that's needed! It's not just his finishing it's his passing and his ability or lack of ability to see a pass and even if he does see it he's not capable of making it most of the time! He's not good enough and don't think he ever will be! Would be nice to be wrong but I think he's a squad player at best and even that's a stretch.

The way I see Lingard is that he is good at everything but not brilliant at anything. His pace, passing, workrate, football brain and even shooting at times are all 6/ 7 out of 10, but he doesn't have one attribute that sets him apart and that is going to be his problem. I would like him to stick around as a squad player but he cannot be our first choice winger next season.

Admittedly bell end was a tad harsh lads, immature probably more fair.
Either way if he's in, it's got to be in the right whilst we have no other viable options there; never want to see him at no.10 and Mata on the right ever again!

Rave it isn't harsh he is a Manchester United player. Which means we are all entitled to criticize him, he is a bell end and whatever else they want to call him. But the fact of the matter is he is a young professional, who may not set the world alight, but let's not support him let's just make him our next player who we hate on! SMH.

I am not convinced by him and don't know how much further he will develop now. However, we will have a lot of games next season and he will be needed, I think we all know if we got a Mane, or a mahrez or a refocused Januzaj then he would be on the bench most weeks anyway.

Having said all that he is a kid playing in front of 76,000 fans, he doesn't shy away and gives everything - a local lad -not picking up the same cash as Schweini, schneiderlin, Jones or Herrera not that should come into it but he can hold his head up as high as any of them this season.

Lingard still has a lot to prove IMO and at 23 yr old time is running out for him to do so.
Good enough as a squad player but will never set Old Trafford alight.

He reminds me mostly of ashley young, not skill wise but in the sense he is a work horse and seems to put in 100% to every game. I think the only thing he lacks really is end product but to be considered great and not good that is what you need. Even though it is his first season in the BPL, he has had decent loan spells and at 23 you would expect him to try and nail down a first team spot (which he has for now) .
